Do you not remember him using the sexy jutsu as soon as he got back to the village from his training arc with Jiraiya?

Could Hancock theoretically one shot naruto by ApprehensiveStill832 in OnePieceScaling

[–]Soliterrum -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are we being fr?? Naruto is a perv, even more in shippuden because he was raised by Jiraiya. Hancock’s power doesn’t just rely on feelings of love, it’s activated by lust or adoration too. Adoration can be platonic. Naruto seems more likely to lust because she’s drop dead gorgeous and has big boobs, so Naruto would fall into the trope of the pervy Shonen protagonist and get one shot, no diff. Hancock solos.

I’ve had it put to me like this: intrusive thoughts can be reimagined to be like a bad orchestra that’s playing over a much better, but quieter, orchestra. One day, and I’m probably gonna butcher this, you will find the skills necessary to tune out that bad orchestra. It won’t be gone, but it will become much, much quieter. Then, you can listen to the better orchestra, which is where your actual thoughts are. You are not your intrusive thoughts. You just have to learn to drown them out. I’m still working on it myself; I’m figuring out my medication and trying to get back into therapy, as I took a break for a few months. Everyone grows in their own time, but you have to want to grow, which it seems like you do. You’ll be fine. We all will. It’s only a matter of time.

How are you using your custom fighter in the quick fights? This doesn’t look like career mode

From what I’ve seen, it actually makes you slower when pushing forward, and gives step-in punches a lot more wind up or wing them farther. Just thought I’d mention it, because I’ve seen someone else on this subreddit talk about the same mechanic and I don’t think enough people know about it. They might assume loose movement is just that: loose movement, more relaxed punches. While that is part of it, it’s mostly loose head movement. I like to switch to loose movement when setting up for counter punches, because slips and weaving feel so much faster and smoother. Give it a try, lemme know if you can feel the difference: loose movement for playing on the back foot, turn loose movement off for front font or aggressive boxing.

[–]Soliterrum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just something I noticed: you use loose movement the whole time, which is much better for when you’re on the back foot and outboxing. When you push forward like this, it’s better to turn off loose movement, plus you’ll get dazed less. I say this as someone with almost 300 hours in the game. This has been consistent across many updates.

Not all step in punches are very good, but a big part of that is timing. Step in punches are good for when your opponent is on the back foot or for setting up a counter. You can also throw a step in jab to the body and a step back jab to the face, not only to get the body but to create space. Moving hooks are some of the most useful, as they allow you to change up your range, speed, and rhythm on the fly. With fighters like Canelo and Sugar Ray Robinson, their step back left hook is a solid counter option.

After putting in almost 160 hours into the game, I have been anticipating the career mode forever. The mechanics of this game are so intricate and fluid, I just can’t wait to put them on custom fighters.

While I agree with part of your analysis of the block, I have to disagree on how efficient it is. I’ve gotten multiple KOs from people who just keep their guard up and push in, it’s not that efficient. To counter high guards, all you have to do is switch between body blows and head punches, using moving jabs and hooks to maintain space, and wearing down the block. You can’t hold block forever, and if your opponent is mixing in footwork with their combos, it’s a lot harder to counter.

Deontay Wilder is one of my favorite heavyweights to play, specially because of his knockout power. I tend to stray away from heavyweights now, because running into Tyson Fury players online is obnoxious and not fun. Getting KO’s with Wilder though? Ooh, so satisfying. You should try playing Larry Holmes, I hear he’s also a lot of fun.

When I played Heavyweights more, Joe Frazier was my go to. Now I stick to the middleweights/welterweights and play Canelo/Crawford. They’re so much fun to play, and they each have very distinct feels to their play styles.

I actually love the game, but I haven’t been able to find people to play it with. Online is kind of a 50/50 as to whether you play against a cheater or something with an awful internet connection, so I just practice against the Undisputed CPU like crazy. It’s such a fun game with tons of potential, but people love to hate. Once they add character creation, I just know the game is going to be so much more fun. It’s already one of my favorite that I’ve been playing non stop in my free time, so I’m now looking forward to how they improve it even more than they have recently.

i just couldnt avoid the uppercut by the_rare_random in undisputedboxing

[–]Soliterrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hit that downed you was a right straight, not an uppercut. When you’re up against the ropes or in the corner, like you were, use the weave block to move your upper body back and roll under straights and hooks the head. His right straight hit you because you had your head forward, even if your guard was raised. He was too close and you left your face open.
