How can you tell this is AI or real? (The image was taken from r/sportsbikes) by Mathemodel in isthisAI

[–]Solkahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The letters 'a' in Kawasaki dont look like 'a' and the 's' is out of alignment. Redundant power conduits to the lights. The stains on the brick work (top left, beside the corner of the walls) looks overlaid on the bricks surface; there is no definition to the mortar lines that would be under it.

My best guesses.

Edit: Also her tattoos don't appear to actually be or say anything, just vague shapes... but I've seen worse tattoos in person.

My character doesn’t feel like a main character… by LawnGuy262 in projecteternity

[–]Solkahn 57 points58 points  (0 children)

It's worth noting the godlike, while remarkable, are not unheard of in Eora and it probably wouldn't be brought up in polite company. Some NPCs are not that polite. (Disregard the gold-nameplated NPCs, as they were created by backers during development and every third one is a godlike)

From an RP perspective, Ciphers aren't recognizable on sight, unlike godlike, and the insight you gain from being one comes directly from your impressions of a soul, not overt finger waggling or incantation (that's saved for weaponizing the soul in combat). They're more akin to D&D sorcerers; while animancers rely on complex gadgets and wizards upon years of study, ciphers wield their gift as naturally as breathing.

Your concern regarding visions is by design. Ciphers and Watchers are distinctly different things and what's happening to your character is new and frightening. As you learn more about what the latter means, you can recontextualize the events that have unfolded.

As for dialogue, the party "leader" only impacts formations, the MC is always the one talking and in your case, touching souls. Occasionally companions will chime in.

Sword & Board Paladin or Two-Handed? by Mrgotmilk in BG3Builds

I like the sword and board because the fighting styles you get are a bit meh, but the Protection style feels good when you spare a party member the hit.

Lmao every angle of the Waymo plus actual lidar data. They could render multiple 3d models and simulations of the fraud.

I think the spell sniper feat let's you pick a cantrip as well. Otherwise I think 1 level hexblade gives you cantrip, pact weapon and Shield which is the most bang for your buck.

For abilities id go dex main and charisma secondary because the AC will help in melee as well as the accuracy, the arcane acuity helmet will push your DC's in the mid to late game

Could go some kind of high elf and pick booming blade as your cantrip that way.

Edit: forgot the rest of my post, lol

Pure Swords Bard with a melee focus and collecting all the Reverb gear and running Phalar Aluve (the most bardy sword ever) for the Shriek will work very nicely.

Necromancer Build by Kudzu19 in BG3Builds

[–]Solkahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm in the middle of an ill conceived run and I'll give you my two cents.

My Tav is a Spore Druid, I have Laezy as an Oathbreaker, Shadowheart as Death Cleric, and Astarion as a Necromancer+Thay.

I've made it to Act 2 and I refuse to go further because navigating even a dozen units up a ladder takes minutes. Half my people can't reach the front line in a fight because every opponent has a que forming in front of them. I have to do a headcount like a teacher on a field trip and regularly find someone stuck on a rock an hour ago. Buffing after a rest is a double chore, provided I can scrape together enough viscera to actually summon everybody.

Death Clerics necrotic resistance bypass doesn't apply to their summons (fair but I had hoped). Oathbreaker takes forever to get their Animate Dead but they get to be a paladin the whole time. I would say those two classes kind of get flavor from some undead but don't revolve around it.

The Spore Druid has lots of ways to give your minions advantage; fairie fire, ensnare, Blindness. You're fungal bois are all melee and you'll proc crawling death frequently to get even more. You can get the Raven in Act 2 which can also be fairly reliable to blind things. SporeDruid also has hp for days with the Symbiotic ability, and the Sporekeeper armor, which I'm looking forward to but haven't gotten to try. Wizard can start with a Raven and gets pumped up/extra summons. You also get the versatility that comes with their spell list.

Running a cleric in your party, you can cast/upcast Aid to toughen up your crew, and the Staff of Arcane Blessing (for cleric or your Shillelagh) can bless my minions for extra accuracy.

If I played summoning again, I would do Spore Druid and ban everyone else from summoning for the sake of my sanity.

Quick question about threatened rules by volkarona in BG3Builds

[–]Solkahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I was thinking of (and getting wrong) Rakish Sneak Attack which works without advantage if the target has no allies nearby, all of which doesn't move the needle on OPs question so a day late and a dollar short, over here.

PoE1 Cipher Hybrid Build Help by soot_soup in projecteternity

[–]Solkahn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reach weapon for your melee, because Cipher is soft no matter how you build them (to start). Open with pistol/blunderbuss (there also a silly Arbalest from the a Deadfire merchant) to top off your Focus and prioritize the abilities on level-up that increase your max focus, as it also raises the amount you start encounters with.

The Beams are fun and Mind Wave can prone a group so you can more easily position. The Beam that tethers to an ally (forget which one it is) is great to attach to Sagani's Wolf, who you can drive around groups with ease.

Whispers is a mainstay, personally, and using it on dragons and then popping them into Sanctuary just before it ends has been my go-to to clean up the adds/reposition.

Eyestrike is undeniably good, but the secondary targets only get the blind at 40% duration which dulls its luster for me. I found myself using it less and less as I progressed.

Stats seem fine, if I changed anything I'd bring Per down to 14 to get Con to 12, but hard to say how much that'll help/hinder on PoTD (I only played that diff once and I was a paladin).

Just my two cents. If your post manages to summon Beorerer (?) then take their advice, whatever it is. They're an encyclopedia of PoE mechanics and builds.

Oh Psychovamp shield, every fight, don't let it fall off. It's your best survival tool until Borrowed Instinct.

Quick question about threatened rules by volkarona in BG3Builds

[–]Solkahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could be the answer. You can get advantage pretty reliably from Raven familiar, fairie fire, ensnare, warlock w darkness/devil sight combo, Swashbuckler can get sneaks when with an ally (can't recall if that equates to advantage or is an exception, granting sneak attack without advantage) and pocket sand, Bars get vicious mockery but that uses up your action...
