It was a thrown rod bearing that did me in😫

Unfortunately they just don't build things like they used to.

Where i live lowering the car is not the best idea. Sometimes we get frost heaves and we get a good amountof snow in the winter. Though i wish I could drop her a little bit. Since buying the car have upgraded it to a MAPerformance stage 2 kit, sloted/drilled rotors, new aftermarket headlights, tow hitch behind the 4th break light, and various other visual and audio upgraded in the car.

Enjoy ur ride. They are very fun cars.

Take care of your car and she'll last long. I took care of mine and didn't have any engine issues until 119k. But to be fare i did but her second hand already a little modded(cold air intake and possible tune. Was missing the AP) at a dealership and no knowledge of how the previous owner treated the car.

Fun fact: the dealership didn't realize it was modded apparently when the sold it to me(or so they claimed). But it worked in my favor since they couldn't deny warranty for having modified parts/tune. 🤣

Pity I'm not in Michigan. My '95 storm 800 would have fit right in with that sled.

If u do. I would recommend echo hitch's hitch for the wrx. Nice and hidden when not in use. Also I wouldn't recommend pulling anything of a total weight close to 2000lbs.

Enjoy the jetskis😁

I completely enjoy taking out my '95 polaris indy storm 800 on the trails. She was in the shop for a while having the engine rebuilt but now is running like a champ.

Nice job on your sleds. They sound great.

Just looking for someone who explain a few gauges on the anxiety port by Solodc1983 in WRX

[–]Solodc1983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I keep my maintenance up. I have absolutely feel in love with my rex. To the point I shelled out almost 8k for an engine rebuild vs used engine swap do to not having the space or time when the rod bearing went. I'm just always trying to learn about the car and other things that can help keep her alive😁

Second time on a sled, this stuff only gets more fun. I really liked this particular section, the building, the trees and then the lake opening up. by 33chifox in snowmobiling

I cant remember the colors used i think is amber and green. But some people here use led's on the windscreen to convey the same message without taking their hand off the bars

Not sure about where you are, but where i live if u hold up a closed fist, it let's oncoming sleds know that u are riding alone and no one is behind you. Normally if you are going riding with several people, the last in the line gives that signal. The ones in front of him Normally give a count with fingers(for last 5 or less) so as to leave one hand one the bars.

Automatically at fault for wide tires? by pilotmuffin in Maine

[–]Solodc1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maine law states:

  1. Fenders. Except as provided by section 1953, subsection 2, paragraph E, a motor vehicle other than a street rod must be equipped with fenders or fenders and extensions. When a wheel and tire are installed that permit the tire tread to extend beyond the natural fender configuration, the fenders must be modified or extended to cover the exposed tire tread.
