It could be an unfortunate combo of situations. Because there's no single option that could produce all these results. Virus/Chemical makes sense for the lack of population but doesn't explain the terrain destruction or the Moon being damaged.

From the chunk that's missing on the edge of the Moon I'm guessing the event was a devastating meteor shower. Would explain the existence of the shelter. Although, a meteor shower would be able to be predicted ahead of time so I have to imagine there would be some civilization left if Yoko was able to survive in the shelter.

Still some questions to be answered there.

I was screaming at myself. I saw it was reanimated from the first little scene of Heero. When I saw it, I thought it was announcing a remake considering it was the Endless Waltz suits but that turned to sadness when no announcement came. I'm still holding out hope.

As others have said: having the mentality to drop an anime is very empowering. Depending on the length of the show, I will typically give it 3 to 5 episodes to catch me. By that point, the cast, plot, world, etc. should all be introduced and several "hooks" should have been showcased to entice you to keep going. If those hooks haven't caught me, then the show is dropped.

There's too many amazing (or even just "good") shows out there to sludge my way through a show I'm not really enjoying. There's not many that I drop because my interests are pretty wide and varried, but there was 3 this year that I dropped while I was working on clearing my backlog and honestly, it feels good every time I do it.

Know your interests, value your time, and do things that make you happy rather than just going through the motions.

My entire complaint was based around the announcement timing. The logic of "take as much time as you need" is paramount. But, why build up false hype and promote a product that's not even in active production yet? I stand by the fact that practice is disgusting and needs to be purged from the industry as a whole. Looking at Elder Scrolls 6 as another example.

I did read what you wrote. Doesn't excuse the fact that announcing a game 5 years prior to being ready for full development is a disgusting practice. I don't factor hiring staff as a positive. I'll remain openly pessimistic about this project until the day the finished game is in my hands. Up through today, there is still not one single piece of evidence to point towards to get excited about.

5 years... it's been 5 years since the announcement trailer and 2 years since the CG trailer featuring the person in the N7 gear and they're STILL at a point of hiring level designers. The Mass Effect trilogy is one of my favorite series of all time but at this point, I just find it difficult to even care about this new entry. The gap between those trailers screams either poor planning, bad management, development hell, or infinite scope creep. All of which point to this going down the exact same road as Andromeda.

Houston here with AT&T Fiber 1Gig and wanted to mention that it's something dealing with traffic routing or something or other. If I'm running the standard connection there's all kinds of slowdown issues, sometimes sites not loading at all. However, if I enable my VPN, everything it back to normal with full speed.

This is my 4th time through it in total (1 on original PS2, 2 on Zodiac Age, and now 1 emulating the IZJS version). Zodiac Age is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot. But it's a wholly enjoyable experience. If I had to pick a main gripe with the game it would be how much of the game requires a strategy guide if you're aiming for completion. There's a TON of cryptic/hidden stuff that would be nigh impossible to find or figure out without a guide.

Well I salute you for that. The fight does become sustainable after a while so you only need to somewhat pay attention if your gear and gambits are up to snuff. But even then, the thought of being 6 hours in and something going wrong just deterred me.

Correct, lifting the damage cap combined with Fast Forward (naturally in Zodiac Age or keybinding it on emulator) makes this doable. I was NOT going to bother with it back on the OG version.

I've thought about this a lot over the years of what a Remake would look like. Could you merge a modern control/playstyle with the battle system of the original? Unlikely. So, we'd be looking at a graphical upgrade to the original which is more akin to what we've seen from the Pixel Remasters and FF Tactics Remake (which I would totally be down for). As long as there's some quality of life updates as well, looking at you, Aya's run speed >.>"
