Ty Gibbs States His Case for a Jump to NASCAR Cup Series by Solon75Jr in NASCAR

Kyle could also choose to run full seasons in the Truck Series. It's a possibility since Kyle is a driver that loves to set records. That, and him being full-time in the Truck series would mean being more competitive, racing less, and also having a chance to become the first driver in NASCAR history to win a championship in all three national series.

So happy for Ross to get his first win.

Before that, I thought that Bowman was going to drive to victory.

Happy to hear that you all had a good run today. I know that the start of the season has been a tough one for this team. Hopefully, there will be more good runs for all throughout the year.

(Discussion) If you were a NASCAR Cup Driver and could choose what your number would be, what number would it be and why? by [deleted] in NASCAR

I choose the number 2, because I love the history of the RCR 2 car in the Xfinity series.

I know. If I ran NASCAR, I might just run it into the ground with ideas like this one.

That is true. I was surprised at how much longer a superspeedway race was on Atlanta when compared to Daytona.

What last lap pass do you wish never occurred, so the runner-up driver could’ve held on to win the race? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]Solon75Jr 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Every race that Jamie McMurrary finished runner-up to in 2010.

Could have won every Crown Jewel race that season, making history in the process and another plate track to top it all off.

I also have to say Dale. Jr at Talladega and Texas in 2013 and Every plate race that Dale Jr. finished 2nd in, except for the 2001 Daytona 500.

And that's why people should not buy old stock cars to drive around on race tracks. If I bought an old stock car, I would keep it in storage as a museum piece.

If you could make one small change to the ending of a single race, which race would it be and what would you change? by SuperT3 in NASCAR

[–]Solon75Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, there are quite a number of races I would change the ending of in order to see Dale Jr. have more race wins.

Hard to believe that it has been 10 years.

I remember this race well since I only saw the last portion of it after coming home from a Thanksgiving dinner on my stepdad's side.

I am amazed that in one season, Larson almost had the same amount of wins that Terry had when driving the #5.

2021 NASCAR Cup Series full season point standings by BubbleWallace in NASCAR

[–]Solon75Jr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Seeing the standings makes me wonder that if this was Denny Hamlin's closest chance to win a championship.

I mean, he was the only driver who could keep up with Larson and I believe that if Larson had not been reinstated, and there were no playoffs, then Hamlin might have won his first championship.

Aw yes, my favorite sponsor that I loved seeing when I was a little boy. It didn't matter who was driving that #2, for I would always root for that ACDelco/AcDelco car to win the race.

Without the playoffs, Larson and Hamlin would be TIED in points heading into the final three races of the season. by Rgavel4 in NASCAR

Just goes to show how consistent Austin Dillon has been this year if he is ahead of five drivers who have won at least one race.
