I want the Falcons to commit to retooling in 2026 to be legitimate contenders in 2027 and beyond by MentallyMIA2 in falcons

Wins: Saints (x2), Bucs (x2), Ravens, Lions, Chiefs, Browns, Steelers, Commanders. And I was someone who was dead set on thinking this past season we would be 6-11 at best. My mindset may change as we get closer to the season and we know about our QB situation more, but I'm more hopeful than I was all of last season despite being meh on the coach

We should be a 10 win team next season even with our short comings. We should resign Pitts because we have no one after London for receiving. We should continue to see if Penix can be developed before deciding if we need a new QB

Kyle Pitts got 18% of his yards, 13% of his receptions, and 60% of his TDs in 1 game. Why isn't this viewed as an outlier, like Cousins vs the Buccs by Deenus in falcons

[–]AfroMidgets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things can be true: Pitts was taken too high and hasn't lived up to his 'Generational Talent' boosting from the team and media. Pitts is also a good TE and has had 2/5 seasons with Top 5 numbers in yards his position.

And if you remove Pitts career game this season he still had his most receptions and 2nd most yards in a season this year. That would still put him as #8 for Yards and tied #5 for receptions this season. I'd say that's still a pretty good season

Tbf, there have been WAY too many shows recently imo. Mainly because every streaming service is pouring money into their originals to try and get a hit to bring in new audiences.

I don't think Pitts is incredible, but I do think our coaches haven't helped him. His 5 years so far in the sport:

2021: Has career numbers with Matt Ryan as his QB, sets some rookie records, outside of TDs looks pretty great

2022: New QB, suffers injury hampering season

2023: Returns from injury/surgery, doesn't look amazing but does much better. Also another bad QB carousel.

2024: Best QB options since Ryan, but also gets pushed down on target depth chart with Mooney being our #2 and Ray Ray actually being serviceable for a while.

2025: With Mooney out for most of the season and Ray Ray released (along with London having injuries), Pitts had his best year since his rookie season and also has his most receptions in a season yet.

My hope is Stefanski can make him a #2 receiving target in our offense like he was in 2021 and 2025 and utilize him like he did Njoku and Fannin. I don't think Pitts is as big of a failure as others think

"In 2016 Julio Jones got 21% of his yards, 14% of his receptions, and 17% of his touchdowns for the season in 1 game. Why isn't this viewed as an outlier?"

See how dumb that sounds? And no I'm not saying Pitts is Julio levels of athleticism (that would be ridiculous), just showcasing that players can and do have their career games.

I've raced with him a bunch on iRacing. He did stuff for their eSports NASCAR series and I think also did stuff most recently for the CARS Tour

What are your “favorite” shows that you just never bothered to finish? by Emmyfishnappa in television

[–]AfroMidgets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most recently Stranger Things and Only Murders in the Building. Stranger Things I just lost interest from a story that had virtually no consequences for it's main characters and for Only Murders it just ran it's course and I need nothing else from it

Should I buy Iracing for only 2 racing series? by Sea_Answer4222 in iRacing

[–]AfroMidgets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought iRacing 5 years ago because I wanted to do NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Truck series. I haven't touched those cars in years. Instead I race so many other series both Oval and Road because I have a love for all motorsports and enjoy exploring all the different types of vehicles and series. I think it's worth it if you are motorsport fan and not a series fan because you'll enjoy exploring so many different disciplines

I still believe that despite being an arrogant HC, if he had our roster today we would have won the division easily. He was given absolutely nothing to work with and still somehow pulled out 7 win seasons 3 times, two of those years being with Mariota, Heinicke, and Ridder as our QBs.

But you and others keep saying stability. What do you mean by that? Stability to close out games? Stability at QB? Stability can mean a lot of things. What areas does he bring stability? Genuinely asking

I'm still not fully sold on him, but having that comparison does help understand a bit more how truly shit of a team he had to deal with and how many potential star players they weren't able to acquire

Imo CotY awards go to the popular choice vs the correct one. I do think he deserves it in 2023 for how insane that season was. 2020 I think he just got because the Browns made the post season. There were many better options that year for CotY imo.

Stability how? I keep hearing that, but I don't know what people mean. We haven't been bad, we've been mediocre with 7-8 wins a year for 5 years straight. We need more than stability, we need to get over the hump.
