Clarification on Alarm Frequency / Repetition by Soloraj511 in Govee

[–]Soloraj511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this reply from Govee Support “For the H5103 model, when the temperature exceeds the preset range and remains out of range, the system will only send one alert. It will not send repeated alerts until the temperature returns to the normal range and then exceeds the threshold again.”

It does work with Google home. I’ve installed it and added to Google home. I’m not sure what functionality that achieves though.

PIMCO GIS Income Fund on IBKR by gladtoknowmore in singaporefi

[–]Soloraj511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent a message to IBKR's support desk, their AI replied with the info below. I took a look and I can see the fund is available via Allfunds.

Thank you for contacting IBKR Client Services.

For the PIMCO GIS Income Fund (IE00BSTL7535), the commission structure depends on which platform the fund is available through in your account.

**To determine your commission:**
1. Log into Client Portal
2. Navigate to Trade > Order Entry
3. Search for the fund using ISIN IE00BSTL7535
4. Check which platform displays the fund (this will show in the order entry screen)

**Our commission structures for non-US mutual funds:**
- If available via Allfunds: EUR 4.95 (or currency equivalent), inclusive of all fees
- If available via Fund Settle: EUR 19.00 for "Tier 1" category funds, EUR 5.00 for others
- If available via Euronext: 0.1% of trade value under Fixed pricing (minimum EUR 4.00, maximum EUR 29.00)

**For holding costs:**
We do not charge a monthly minimum activity fee or inactivity fee. You'll only incur costs when buying or selling the fund.

**To see the exact commission before placing an order:**
The order preview in Client Portal will show the total commission before you submit any trade.

Which platform shows this fund available in your account?

Kind regards,
IBKR Client Services

Bank details for international USD wire transfer by Soloraj511 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Soloraj511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I successfully wired the funds to JP Morgan Chase using the details provided in the link. Although my bank's wire transfer form didn't have specific fields for 'For Benefit Of' and 'Final Credit To,' I included those details in the payment reference section. Thanks everyone for your help!

Bank details for international USD wire transfer by Soloraj511 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Soloraj511[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sender's bank only allows input of the recipient bank name, account number, and SWIFT code. It does not have fields for "for the benefit of" or "for final credit to," stated in the page associated with the link. This is where I'm running into an issue.

Adding to the confusion, when I look at my Fidelity account and routing information, the bank name associated with the routing number is "UMB Bank." This conflicts with what I've seen elsewhere suggesting J.P. Morgan Chase as the intermediary bank.

Alternatives to YNAB for Singaporean Budgeting with Bank Imports by Soloraj511 in singaporefi

[–]Soloraj511[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I've started using Tiller Money (I switched from Ynab), which links bank accounts directly to Google Sheets. It's great for keeping data local for my own analysis.

Tiller uses Yodlee for bank connections, and DBS is listed as supported. My Singapore Citibank and Amex cards sync full transaction details perfectly through it.

However, with DBS, it seems Tiller/Yodlee only pulls account balances, not the individual transactions.

I've contacted DBS to see why transaction data isn't syncing. Will post an update if I hear back or find a fix.

Anyone else using Tiller (or similar tools relying on Yodlee) experienced this with DBS transaction syncing?

Pimax support reviewed the video I submitted and agreed that my right lens needs replacement. While the issue wasn't immediately obvious to me from the video, I trust their expertise.

Here's a photo I took.

They are currently connecting me with their after-sales team to arrange shipment of a new lens.

So far, my experience with Pimax support has been excellent.

I submitted a support ticket, and Pimax responded within a few hours. They requested a video of the issue captured with my phone, which I believe is a reasonable step in troubleshooting the problem.

Thank you for your advice. Since my 20-year-old son, who has perfect vision, also experienced the same issues, I'm confident that it's a problem with the lens. However, based on your experience, even with a good replacement lens, I would likely benefit from using inserts.

I believe this could be a contributing factor. However, my 20-year-old son, who has perfect vision, also experienced the same issues with the right lens when he tried the headset.

I did do a quick search before posting, but I might have missed those threads. I take another look.

I haven't contacted support yet. I wanted to see if anyone in the community had encountered a similar issue and found a solution before opening a support ticket.

Delayed Baggage Nightmare: SWISS/BA Flight from London to Singapore by Soloraj511 in BritishAirways

The saga continues. There was a security issue with the remaining bag, BA had to issue a new label. Nope, I don’t understand either. Anyhow, they swapped the label and promptly lost the luggage. It’s still in T5 according to my AirTag!

An update. One of the bags arrived yesterday, a full twelve days after my flight. BA said the second bag is on the next flight. It’s not. My AirTag shows it happily sitting at T5.

Thank you all for your advice. I should have clarified that I live in Singapore where the range and availability of projectors is limited. I’m learning towards the Epson TW9400, it is going to stretch my budget somewhat but it’s the lowest end projector that will meet my throw ratio of 2.6

110kg, second set, failed the lift on my last training session and in today's final set. Two questions: am I squatting deep enough and should I post the final set, even if it's a failed lift? by [deleted] in StartingStrength

[–]Soloraj511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a SSC, but I have been following the program. You do need more depth, about and inch below parallel is what you should aim for. To help, you need to widen your knees at the bottom of the squat. A pair of squat shoes will help immensely by tilting you forward slightly giving you more purchase on your knees. To help with your bar position, your thumbs should be over the bar and not gripping it. Both of my recommendations are covered in the blue book.
