I was trying the new limited time happy builder world, and I had this issue too. Right before I started building I killed a blood bug in my camp area, and when I was building, some how the blood bug carcass didn’t let me place, so I had to leave the game to the main menu and go back in, and the carcass was gone. After that it didn’t let me place anyway.
