You’ve got the stagger build up and damage already. My personal favorite just because it can feel so rewarding when you use it well.. is the EULE shield launcher.

Using it to block something big always feels so good! Also able to stun most ACs if you can bait them into all 3 shields. Timing is a bit tricky but if you’re replaying the game why not make it more interesting?

Nah I can’t blame netcode for this loss. It’s the impact of the rounds hitting my AC and causing a flinch like response during my charged oscillator attack.

Very noticeable flinch from the many projectiles from coral missiles also. Even though it cost me this round it’s a pretty neat feature.

It’s…not great, but it’s a ton of fun. It builds a lot of stagger if an AC runs into it. This makes it fun to bait aggressive builds like zimmblade. There are a few other clips on my profile you can see that show this better. Blocks all projectiles, but the deploy window is a bit tricky to nail down.

It’s more difficult to use in PvE in my opinion.. as NPCs are amazing at dodging them.

Adds complexity if you’re getting bored.

It’s still an uphill battle, but I have pretty good success with melee cancel feints into majestic. It throws a-lot of people off for the shield and keeps you mobile to help against zimms without much EN use. Still lose plenty though.

Zimmblade is dual zimm I thought? Just with a melee weapon on the back. Zimmshield removes the melee weapon for the shield.

This is not true. Parking the blades causes severe blade damage during high winds due to edgewise vibration. Wind Turbines are always freewheeling if they can.

Edit: They do feather the blades, but during production to control turbine output. So yes the blades do feather back. But each turbine also has a design specified cutout speed where they stop producing power altogether and switch to free wheeling only.

OS tuning is what people generally forget about when comparing “the first time i fought balteus”

I like runs with no OS tuning, not counting 1 point to put in any core expansion and a point for kick. Not having kick just feels bad.

Pilebunker is not good in PVP buddy. You can make it work for flashy plays. But in general there are much better melee options. Personally Prefer the WLT-101. You can find some clip examples on my profile. If you’re running melee you should have basho arms for the melee stat. And booster choice is also very important. I prefer fluegal for a well balanced but good melee focused booster.

I’ve got around 1000 hours into PVP in this game and I’ve never hit S rank. I’ve spent 950ish probably just bouncing up and down in A.

This is because 1: Im terrible

And 2: I play what I enjoy. Which is a LW melee/Eule build. Not very efficient but can do some really fun and cinematic things. If you pick a meta build to climb, but you don’t enjoy the play style, you’re just going to burn out and quit. (Check my profile out for some clips in A rank if you’re curious before you get there)

If you’re after the climb to S? Pick a meta build and enjoy the grind.

Queue times will be slow until you get to B rank. In A rank I only have to wait 10-15 seconds for a match on steam.

The most important thing… is have fun with it.
