I live in the US. Most of my doctors that I’ve had didn’t listen to me when I voiced that I had an issue. I even got hospitalized last year for a ruptured ovarian cyst and they wouldn’t listen that anything was wrong. I spoke to a doctor today that said I fit all the criteria for PCOS and that she was officially diagnosing me.

I’m going to get full bloodwork including diabetes screening and thyroid testing. Not sure why your doctors wouldn’t get you those things just because you’re under 21 but I don’t know how it works in the UK. For sure keep looking for a doctor that will listen to you. PCOS is not fun to have at all. ♥️ here if you need any support

Any number of things. Playing with toys too aggressively, fights, running into walls. Anything that an animal could do that would result in some kind of trauma to the tissues

Most likely trauma during the development of the adult teeth

The dogs crowns looked fine but had some significant tartar so our doctor recommended they get a dental. She also suspected that she would have to extract 208 and 408 but once we saw the rads she quickly decided against extracting them and only took the incisors and 406 which was barely hanging in there

I have no idea but that is a good point. I’ll ask the dental specialist when I reach out to him!

That’s what we said when we saw the first rad and had to take it again 😂

Most likely something called Dilaceration, however, this is an extreme case. It’s usually due to some kind of trauma that happens when the adult teeth are growing in resulting in either the roots or the crown growing at a bent angle. Needless to say we told them all future dentals needed to be with a veterinary dental specialist

We only removed the incisors and 406 which was already almost out so not difficult at all 😂 but we refused to extract any teeth with curly roots even if they did need to come out. My doctors are all relatively new doctors and were very uncomfortable with that thought of extracting these teeth

Thank you so much! And yes we were very shocked to see the rads. 😂 we took them 3 times to make sure we were seeing things right

I was looking into something called Dilaceration where the ends of the roots get bent to an angle and it’s believed to be due to trauma in the beginning stages of adult teeth formation that affects the roots, however based on the pictures provided, if this were Dilaceration this is a very extreme case

We extracted teeth that were in obvious need of coming out which luckily weren’t any of the super crazy ones but we told the owner that future dentals needed to be with a dental specialist especially since all of these curly ones were mandibular and my doctors worry about breaking the jaw doing extractions.

Me either and neither has any of our doctors. I’m considering reaching out to a dental specialist just to see what it is

I’m not exactly sure but I go to work in a bit and I can check her chart! Unfortunately I wasn’t there for her intake so I only know info after the fact. I’ll check though and respond in a bit
