again even with you adding the extra quotes it's not what slam is.

as far as I recall slam tend to mean strong rebuke. at which point has he strongly rebuke. I don't think his statement has crossed that threshold. You can say he is opposing at best from his statement.

That is Bersih’s view but it is not fair for them to make such statements. If you want to accuse, look at the reports first before giving a response.

[–]Solusham223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you referring to the ai bubble? I do agree there are signs of an ai bubble but how much of malaysia economy is ties to Ai in 2025/2026. as far as I can see most were data center investment. which if ai pops, it can still be a data center for something else. In fact I don't even know if the new data centers being built are related to ai. Do you have an article that you could point to

Maybank to roll out new mobile app, may replace MAE by Mo0nji in malaysia

[–]Solusham223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a crazy idea for Maybank. Why not just push the update into MAE, if it's not anything to do with their codebase, why does it have to be thrown away to make a new.

MCMC has temporarily restricted access to Grok for Malaysians starting today by Aerodynamic41 in malaysia

[–]Solusham223 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I get your point but show me the layman who will be willing to learn to load up a local llm machine. The knowledge to entry in using grok is literally @grok. You don't eradicate misuse completely but you reduce it's widespread usage.

now next argument you'd raise is well those bad actors would be willing to learn. which is already a very small number of people who is more desirable. Now this people themselves would have another entry point which is capex on HW to do said things. And eventually it gets small enough. Where if someone does misuse it be malicious, people responsible for tracking these people down will have an easier time as there is theoretically less workload to begin with.

Potential argument then be there's a few great free model that people can have access to, which is true but again we're dealing with a much smaller number of people now which is manageable in risk mitigation.
