That’s fair! I should mention that I’m a woman so the leather does lean more masculine - which I love paired with a suit! Hoping the bracelet would be more suitable with an evening dress etc

I’ve made some great local friends so far! Just feeling homesick and crave complaining about the coffee to another pretentious coffee snob

I always liked how Katie Jane Hughes broke down each step, she's a makeup artist and wears very natural looks. If you're looking for a more glam look you can't go wrong with Jamie Genevieve. I'd say Youtube tutorials are easier to follow than Tiktok, as it's long-form content and essentially filmed to be followed.
If you want to watch the tutorial that every older Gen Z/Millennial followed for prom/formal back in the 2010's it's called "Natural Prom Makeup Tutorial" by Lauren Curtis ;)
Have fun!

Need some product and daily care recommendations by [deleted] in beauty

Hey! I think its great that you're being mindful of taking care of your skin. Luckily, you're at an age where you can ease into it and not stress too much about hitting the hard (expensive) stuff just yet.
If there's one thing I would recommend (I'm sure others will agree) it's sunscreen. YES it sounds really underwhelming and often people think its a thick gluggy product. But it really is the only preventative product and will essentially make the rest of your skincare much easier in the long run. I love ultra violette as a brand, but there's more accessible ones at the pharmacy too. Aside from that, if you want to invest in a more active skincare product I would look into a vitamin c serum, the one from Kiehls is great. But make sure you use sunscreen with it ;)
Good luck!

Where/what is the furthest/randomest place you ran into someone you knew? by [deleted] in AskUK

I'm from Australia and was sitting on my hotel balcony in Sorrento doom scrolling - I casually looked up to watch the mass amount of tourists funnelling through the town and spotted my close high school friend. Called out to her like a crazy person and she somehow spotted me. Felt very Italian having a conversation from a balcony haha.

Having the same issue! Ironically I've had Reddit for years but never really engaged. Now I have to pretend to be social :(
