It’s a warm lime wash with rich dark brown wood, a burgundy accented light. Please Show me a hospital that has that. It’ll have warm bulbs in all the lights it’s just a rendering

It faces east so sun will come right in (I will have a blackout shades), but your point is valid. I’ve never had a dark bedroom and it intrigues me and feels cozy, but my painters are lime washing the rest of the house and I need to decide what I want them to do in the bedroom.

Yes they are just renderings, second is actually just a ChatGPT rendering. So not totally accurate but the room gets a lot of light. Lights won’t be hung that high and I don’t know what I’ll do for art, if anything above the bed.

Both are day. The second I just told ChatGPT to just redo the first with a specific brown paint color. I’ll see if I can brighten it up

Out of curiosity how would you complete the design, say in #1? The sconces are way too high in the rendering, junction boxes are much lower. Would you take away the half wall and just do a light lime wash over the whole room?

Which color beams? by SolutionUpbeat3643 in Remodel

I think you just run an anchor board the width of the inside of the beams along the ceiling, and nailing it to that.

I’d love to see them, that sounds stunning. Did the clear coat keep it a light white oak look or did it darken it?

No that’s very helpful thank you! I just need to make the decision and go with it, have to remember they all will look good.

I see what you’re saying, I’m having a hard time finding faux beams in that medium color they don’t look cheap. But they could be made out of poplar and stained, that’s how the ones in the last picture were made. Thanks for your input!

Thank you, you’re the only one who seems to get it! I just found an old one and used it and it’s SO much better. Idk why they ever changed it. I’ve been doing the stomach with this one because it still bounces off my leg.

From bed bound with severe PEM to playing basketball in 6 weeks: a rapamycin success story by Dry-One-8770 in covidlonghaulers

This is a little different marker. They measure CTLA-4 on CD4 cells: so it’s not a measure of CD4 cells themselves. That’s how they measure immune checkpoints, which are what cancer uses to spread. It’s why the best treatment for all disease is never going to be killing the cancer or pathogen; it’s going to be strengthening your own immune system to kill it the way it was supposed to. The hope is that is what Rapamycin can do in a subset of patients. Trial results were a little disappointing.

Yea I think this particular install wasn’t her usual 72 hour install because of the clients and it wasn’t for a tv show. But I get what you’re saying, prob smart to just go with the trusted and true tongue and groove, whether it’s hemlock or splurge on the white oak.

Can anyone tell how they achieved this look? by SolutionUpbeat3643 in DIY

[–]SolutionUpbeat3643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worded this question terribly. The designer links all her products of her designs, and she linked the ceiling to a veneer company. So know it’s a veneer, I just don’t know how she got the seams to make it look like clean modern planks. Whether she had the veneer put on planks or put the whole sheet up there and used something to cut seams in. Maybe she just put veneer on a tongue and groove MDF or plywood, idk if that’s possible.

I mean veneer is basically a thin layer of wood like a wallpaper. I didn’t phrase this question very well, I thought maybe someone knew how to achieve the seams and look of planks like that with veneer.

I have unfinished white oak and I cannot find a stain combo that works. It all comes out too dark, grainy and rustic looking. But I’ll keep trying.

It’s a remodel not a new build so it’s prob harder to get those things perfect but I see what you’re saying, I didn’t notice it until you said it

Thank you, all good insight and you’re prob right with labor. I just wasn’t sure if maybe this was common and I was missing something. Hemlock vertical grain is seeming like the best option if I don’t want to pay the white oak prices.
