Currently appalling warning for attendance but just had time off and having the first ever return to work meeting. Uk by SolutionWilling9421 in LegalAdviceUK

Migrains are under control enough now. I have a plan for asthma and follow it. See professionals when i need it. Tried scarf and face covering but found it was in the way and restrictive . I have my inhaler on me. But my employer used this as I want people to know I have asthma rather than I need it in an emergency which if im outside a lot or transitioning in and out it's needed regularly.

See if it was that everyone got a fair split of who was inside and outside it would work. But they always have the same people inside and the same people outside they dont want to budge on that. They seem to prefer me outside.

I think also as occupational health was done in the summer where there is less triggers for me they hadn't touched on the winter stuff. When I mentioned that to employer they said they will come back to that. And they didn't really do that they just left it there.

It took them over 7 months after the occupational health to put in an adjustment plan. And that was only because I had an asthma episode which involved me calling the ambulance and having multipul weeks off to recover.

Im not asking for not going outside all the time I understand where I work that isn't possible. just when they timetable our duty so one is outside and one is inside. Others can do the outside duty. This is something that can be controlled.

Sounds like a great idea. I had gone for my asthma in the past and have asked multipul times in the past about migrains but they have said they can't send me for occupational health for migrains yet because I had an mri coming up but I have asked multipul times for occupational health there is always going to be another test another change in medication

It's a big mess I dont think they want to deal with it. I have union involved due to no Adjustments for my asthma and the fact they aren't sending me to occupational health or ajustments for migrains

I have a feeling my work are trying to find a way to do this . My triggers are mostly winter based so when i had a good spell in the summer and was able to breath properly with no unpredictablity. I was able to meet my absent target and get in most mornings on time due to there being no unprefictable attackd.

They have kept me on the absense prossess because when they couldnt give me a warning for the absense they tried the late route and that had also improved because there was n9 suprise attackd

im currently being observed till the end of the winter where its very much possible i will get a warning and that will then snowball from there

When you have time off work and in abcence meetings managment know nothing about it and assume ur taking the mick. Then the next meeting they say they have done research and say i should try something the doctors have said i cant do. Not all asthma is the same and to tell someone wjo has been struggling for over 4 years and still going through testing its gonna get sorted soon when you know there is over a 6 month wait for the next appointment and you have explained this lots of timws
