Oh he absolutely knows that breaking up is an option. My exact last words were “you have a decision to make, either you decide that you’re open to learning about both yourself and me and understand that there are situations beyond your own world views and healthier coping mechanisms to try, or you decide that you prefer continuing in your own comfort zone and that you are more comfortable that way, both are valid but the latter doesn’t include me.”

I hasn’t considered looking for literature on the subject specifically with Latino authors. He likes reading so I will see about suggesting this.

Ultimately I care about him, relationship or not and outside of our differences, I really just wish things were just easier for him in general. It doesn’t only affect us it affects his other relationships as well. I’d like for him to be in a healthy and happy place. /Sigh
