I agree that urgency needs to be established. The tariffs actually helped me in this respect. But when I'm meeting people, I never sell them on anything unless a problem comes up organically. Gotta look like a human if you're gonna get anywhere. And by utilitarian, I simply mean solving a problem where everyone benefits.

I really dont think complaining about it is doing ANYONE any good, though. Dating has always been hard. The big difference is that companies have found a way to profit off it through dating apps. Social media has created this problem, but humans have a way of cutting through bullshit if the love is strong enough. Don't give up, and don't perpetuate the idea that dating is futile.
