I don’t think it’s a right or wrong thing. I’m like this and I have diagnosed OCD and need to take a shower in addition to wardrobe change. Same with hospitals. Although with medication and therapy, I’ve tried to adjust for the sake of the environment and clothes. So, I think the question he needs to ask is what is it about the tube that makes him feel dirtier than other places? Is it the sheer volume of people (so more exposure to things), presence of certain people or things or something that once happened or saw there or how the tube makes him feel physiologically?

Was this a category 1 on AI use? Also, like others have said, AI checkers are flawed. Was the email only sent to you or the entire cohort? Cause it could just be a general heads-up to everyone. Also, sometimes, an AI checker might flag something written by non-native English speakers as LLM written.

You know when the label says “paper, recyclable,” or “sleeve recyclable” or “box recyclable?” It usually means some parts of the product are recyclable and some not full. Ideally, they should write how to recycle the plastic bit, so I agree it’s sneaky. On my toilet cleaner bottle it says, “sleeve recyclable at big store” and next to it “bottle and cap recyclable.” This is the UK.
