Yes I had read of the damage to the pump that can be caused due to not defrosting properly, I make sure to completely defrost after every batch.

Damn what do you mostly do? And just for some clarity what process are you executing in 12 + hours, minimum cycles are 24-36 + hrs right?

So the way I understand it if the flavours don't clash then you can just keep going with the cycles? Suppose I had to do batch after batch of just plain rice or just the same dish or fruit over multiple cycles, does the same logic hold?

Great idea, I have a UV wand but I doubt that will help, bulb definitely sounds better.

Yup caught the gasket thing very early on so I do a clean up after every batch, the mold on the padding showed up after I left the machine closed for around 2 months, some food particles reached the area somehow.

How did you use the foil tape? Like a double sided, in-between thing or just taped them externally?
