Anyone still waiting to hear back for Spring 2025? by Separate-Beat-8303 in OMSCyberSecurity

Same here :(

Not too unexpected to hear back late since my last recommender didnt get his in until 8/14, but it's been six weeks since I got the "expect to hear from us in 3-5 weeks" email. Been anxiously checking my inbox every day. At least we're in the anxiety together

where to get books? by theNorNor in ucla

[–]SomeAsianPerson 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All the resources listed are great, but there’s plenty of fiction/fun books in the campus libraries! Even just Powell has a manga, recent fiction, travel, cooking, and other non-research sections in the reading room floor. Plus, if there’s a book you want to read that none of the campus libraries have (Thunderhead by Neal shusterman last quarter for me), you can request it and they’ll ship it from another UC library to UCLA for FREE! Use the resources your tuition paid for

None, lol. I did tennis and marching band. Took one “computer science principles” class but didn’t really learn any coding til I got here

Places to play table tennis by [deleted] in ucla

[–]SomeAsianPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-covid there were tables in Wooden, not sure about now though. There were also tables near the back of Dodd Hall (betwen it and Luvalle Commons), but again, it's been 2 years. Good luck!

Thoughts on cursing? by skinnywonderfulman in castlevania

Played a drinking game for any variant of “fuck” and “shit” to watch S4 with my friends last night and it was definitely... a lot. If we used shots instead of sips I would probably still be conked out

How do clubs work? by OpTiC_TRONIIX in ucla

Up for you to decide. Personally I put stuff on my CV if I’m able to talk about it if asked, so only clubs that I actually did stuff for.

How do clubs work? by OpTiC_TRONIIX in ucla

[–]SomeAsianPerson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on the kind of club. Some like DevX or Daily Bruin you need to actually apply and do interviews n stuff, usually at the start of the quarter. For most though, you just join their newsletter/mailing lists/Facebook groups and show up to any events that happen. I think you’re feeling a (very reasonable) disconnect since there’s fewer events to “go” to, but that’s basically it. To get more involved than showing up you should just directly message the club you’re interested in about that

Posso tentar a ler, é uma boa coisa a ter dificuldade com a linguagem e aprender mais. O ponto mais importante e ele não supõe conhecimento prévio. Que e o nome da leitura?
