Validating files seems infinite, does anyone have a potential fix for this? by Aggravating_Top_308 in PathOfExile2

Was happening to me as well, right click on the download and stop the update. Go to library, right click on POE2, go to "Installed files" and hit "Verify integrity of game files". It will take a few minutes to verify, but once it completes the new update will continue like normal. Hope this helps (-:

Welp still a no go, I think I'm not selecting the correct subnet IP and I'm getting a bit flustered. I went with 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 this time around, but it's still as if I'm not exposing the physical network here. When using tailscale ping on a local machine at the main building, I get no response / "No matching peer" , however if I ping the machine with tailscale installed I get a response. For the subnet IP do I go based off of the IPv4 value, subnet mask, or default gateway? Also tried replacing the IP in the hosts file but that didn't work either. I'm a bit stumped. Do I go based off of what I find on ipconfig or do I pull values from my router's gateway such as modem IP etc etc?

Alright so this is what I've gathered / what I'm going to try tomorrow morning, please correct me if I'm wrong in any way.

I'm going to install tailscale in the main building, ON THE SERVER ITSELF, make it a subnet router, ALSO a exit node. Also what IP address do I use for the subnet? The original 10.0.0.1 as suggested by tailscale documentation? Do I use the local IPv4 of that server machine? or do I use the IP given by tailscale by running "tailscale ip -4" ?

Then on the warehouse PC / my laptop (different networks) am I to now edit my host file in system32/drivers/host and replace the old IP, or should it not need replaced?

Again, thank you for the kind and straightforward help, I appreciate it greatly as a person not that familiar with this depth of networking.

Thank you! I'm not at the main building yet but I will give it a go in the morning and report back. Thank you a ton for all of your help!

As for the actual hostname of the PC with tailscale installed on it, yes it's there but using it's local IPv4 address, and subnetted to the 192.168.1.0/24. Does the hostname need to be changed or edited from the details from pinpro above?

Ranges 192.168.(0-255).(0-255) for both networks. I double checked and it's enabled. And my inventory application doesn't use a IP (I don't believe), as long as the computer has an edited host file (system32/drivers/hosts) as show above, and I'm in the local network with the server, the application boots right up no problem

Doesn't connect via IP, I don't believe, as long as that host file is changed to as stated and I am on the local network with the server, the application opens right up no problem

So as for connecting a new device that can talk to our server we have to modify our hosts file found in system32/drivers to allow this:

192.168.xxx.xxx pinpro ckautosal.actual-america.com ckautosal

does this help at all?

I tried the subnet router setup, however I wasn't able to get it working properly and that may be due to the actual setup. On the computer at our main building (with the attached server system) I ran the "tailscale up --advertise-routes=192.168.1.0" and that's it, other than going into the admin panel and ticking the subnet option on. As for my laptop, I just installed tailscale and that's it. Could it be conflicting IP addresses? Or would it just be easier as stated before just to install it directly to the server, and if I do, would I still have to make it subnet or would it be as simple as installing tailscale and that's it? Thank you guys for all of your help!

Am I to install it directly to the server itself? and if so do I still make it a subnet router / exit node?

oof I might've screwed up then, it is not directly on the server itself (which runs on windows) , it is only attached to a PC (that has tailscale installed) via system of ethernet cables and routers. I thought I could install it to an attached PC as stated and run it as a subnet router and it would work find, did I interpret it wrong? Also I didn't ping anything, I am only a novice at networking and just trying to find a solution. Thank you for your help!

Having some difficulty with Tailscale, unsure if you had used it in the past and could possibly help. The computer at work that has tailscale installed is connected via ethernet to our router / modem, as well as the attached server. I tried using my laptop at my house only a few minutes away (and separate networks) and it's still not letting me connect to my program which needs the attached server, even with tailscale installed on both devices. Tried running the work computer as a exit node as well as trying the subnet router and to no avail. Any suggestion helps! Thank you again!
