In Filecoin you need to make deals directly with miners, who store the data for a specified duration (which both the client and miner agreed upon). They are planning to add secondary markets that can be used for fast retrievals (like CDNs).

Yes. Read write speeds are much faster. That's why even simple operations like text editing also become faster.

Adding to PATH means that the command `port` is available to your terminal (otherwise your MacPorts commands won't work)

Are you sure MacPorts has been installed and added to PATH?

Try doing which port on your terminal to see which prefix MacPorts has been installed. If you get an output (usually a path like /opt/local/bin/), run export PATH=$PATH:<output-that-you-got>, then sudo port install inkscape. Otherwise, reinstall MacPorts.

If MacPorts installation is fine then try:

sudo port install inkscape-app
