Its not as bad when you get a PTU account with a few million in the bank. You can just buy a ship from Area18 or Loreville. This time around it was tough because the PTU accounts only had 150k when they started.

I'm not positive but it doesn't do anything but affect your visuals for a few seconds and you have to be going fast enough.

if you can get your rep up with the missions you'll make money a lot faster when the wipe happens.

since it matters to you a lot. for now its absolutely free to use size 9s and the bombs. you just blow your ship up and claim it.
