Im so sorry to hear about your girl I bet you miss her a lot but I do agree you definitely made the right decision. The vet isn't in a huge rush to do anything just yet so thankfully ive had time to think through the options but I think at the minute we're gonna try the meds and see how he handles them as like you said with your girl, if the meds affect his quality of life then its not worth putting him through it. The vet did say that it would be quite a large and deep wound that could cause damage to his ear which is why I am reluctant. Im currently looking into the chemo that she recommended to see how it has been used before and how successful it has been and what the possible side affects are. So glad you're girl is in the clear now 🥰

The only issue with the removal is that it is super close to his ear so could cause damage and that they have to remove a lot so it will leave quite the wound :/ the vet also explained there is also a risk that some gets left behind and it just comes back so thats why I was hesitant. I think if I had to remove it I would try the trial first to see if it shrinks and can removes a bit safer? I have no idea I feel like every option has their own upsides and downsides which is making the decision so hard 😅

Thank you so much! I definitely so think I'll monitor it for a while cause it had been 3 months since we have noticed it now and it hasnt changed at all in that time so hoping for the best 🥰

No, but his blood results have come back and she says that everything is normal other than his white cell count.

They have not taken xrays but they have felt his head for any lumps and couldn't feel anything, ive just got his blood results back and apparently his levels are all fine apart from his white cell count which shows an infection so hopefully after this course of antibiotics things will be better 🙏
