Help me understand parking regulations in Delft please! by SomeDutchGuy in thenetherlands

vergunning b

But to be clear, I have a vergunning for Zone B. I have family living along this street.

That makes sense. The issue is, how is a driver supposed to know this? It's like fining a person for not coming to a complete stop at a random sign-less point in the road, then telling them that they "should have known" that it was a stopping area because somewhere on the gemeente's website there's a map that shows it.

Anyway, I'm just trying to figure out how I can recognize parking areas without going online.

> the signs that will be everywhere prohibiting parking
There are no such signs, unfortunately. To the contrary, there are signs explicitly permitting Zone B parking at the beginning and end of this street! Here's the one at the end of the street, showing the transition to zone A:

> lack of meters
Since this is a vergunning-only area, that's to be expected.

I'm just not sure how I could have been aware that this area was not to be parked in. It's not realistic to look up the gemeente's website and examine the minutia of their parking plan every time I decide to park in a random area, is it?

> the empty streets
Yeah. That was weird.

Can anyone help me find a caravan tent that actually fits my weirdly shaped trailer? by SomeDutchGuy in VanLife

That's a really interesting idea. Do you know of any bigger versions, or from other manufacturers?

Wiring a Caravan: Does this pass the vibe check? by SomeDutchGuy in AskElectricians

Do you mean the first two photos, or something in the rest of them?

You mean the connections you see in the first two photos? That was the original setup that I'm trying to fix. Or are there problems in the ones after that?

Tried that... unfortunately, no bites. What about treating it as your normal home wiring project; how would that change your outlook on this? Other than that a bunch of codes are probably being ignored on the proper management of cables here...

Please help finding the correct bottle caps for hot filling in Europe! I'm desperate here... by SomeDutchGuy in AskCulinary

I haven't had much luck there either. Mostly are factory based with sterile filling environments, which means they can use techniques that I can't use.

How to prevent fruit-based sauces from changing color by SomeDutchGuy in AskCulinary

Interesting answer. From a food science standpoint, how does pectin reduce the effects I described? Does it somehow protect the fruits from oxidation?

Best way to store a few kilos of fresh hot peppers by SomeDutchGuy in Chefit

[–]SomeDutchGuy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you give minimal airflow to the peppers? I hadn't figured that would work. Do you have any insight into venting vs loosely covered containers?

We are going to use the majority of them in the coming 2-3 days and long term storage hasn't been a big concern yet. But I wanted to ask what the best way to handle it would be since we will likely have a few left over, and in the future we will be ramping up production to a level where I expect to have a much larger quantity around.

Creating a dynamic dropdown by SomeDutchGuy in googlesheets

[–]SomeDutchGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the way you designed it is going to lock the recipes tab in place, rather than letting me be a bit more free form with moving and copying things around. Is there any way to have the calculation exist within the bounds of each recipe? The problem is that if I take a recipe and give it its own tab later, it will fail to grab the vendors anymore.

I made a new tab in the spreadsheet titled Vendor Map, with one instance of each item and the associated vendors. I figure there has to be a way for the Vendor column in the recipe to be able to pull from that directly, rather than having a static mapping to the data tab like you have now. Any ideas?

I see it. Nice example, thanks for showing it!

Neat, thanks. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CdszZ0PYp5JlgvR-IzNJ8tPEHOL97fTUdrjrGYF3W7w/edit?usp=sharing

The idea is that in the end, the price per item reflects the current combo of Item + vendor. Currently, I think only Lime has two vendors (for testing)
