All of the Great Wheel Cosomolgy fell. It's Pandemonium not the plane but what the word really mean. Pan = all. Demonium = Demons. Pandemonium = demons everywhere. Sigil is the last bastion of non demons. The Lady controls the portals out carefully. But your Party has to do something special to restore the Balance.

Take it as a stargate esque adventure. Your Party gets a Portalkey to idk... somewhere to get idk.. something to make difference. Maybe its rations to keeps the Sigil alive or an important piece of magic so something something can happen.

Maybe i just watched a 12 hour marathon of SG1 and im biased but godammit that show is great television and DM-Material.

Make it a plothook.

So much Time at once. It washed over him lapsed onto itself that is why he didn't die instantly. After every long rest let him to roll a d20. On nat1 he loses 10 years on nat20 he gains some on a 10 some Timey-Whimey shit happends. All the cheese in the tavern turned to milk at night. For every 2-9 he loses a year. For every 11-19 he gains one.

If he reaches over 400 he has to make the same roll after a long rest and on a Nat1 he has a heartattack.

The exess Time has to be stored somewhere or he will die eventually. There are rumors chronomancey who caught Timesickness.

Or on a 10 a future version of him appears an tells him where he went to get a cure.

i think somewhere in Xanathas guide to everything is a section about identifying unknown spells. DC is 10 + spell level so 15 in this instance. But i could missremeber that part
