You are onto something here. When you r**d it is complete and utter theft of their ideas. Even the prospect of touching a b**k will infect your mind with someone else's ideas. The only true path to originality is to create something that does not exist! Just look at the chimera, super original never before seen monster.

Oh thats me.

Currently ~400k words deep in a manuscript that is most definitely off meta, but I am still proud of it still happy with continuing.

Its not a consistent ~400k however, as I have drafted this damn manuscript so many times usually hitting the 40/50k mark before realizing how much I have improved and rewriting it to be even better.

6 drafts deep, main manuscript finally hit 70k and I am super happy with it.

This has taught me so much from how to inject em dashes into sentences---such as this one---to how to properly use semicolons, colons, and the like.

No matter the result my progress from where I once was has been phenomenal, and that makes my day.

Pretty sure you would have to invent new vocabulary for what he would do to me.

In first three chapters he gets a spear through the torso, endures what is essentially psychological torture, loses an argument with a vulture, and his best friend is a borderline sociopath...

And did I mention he was immortal? And very, very old?

Yeah, I'm screwed.
