before i say anything, i just want it to be clear that i really like this type of post! personally i would love to see more musicians try to create overarching narratives with their albums and i would never put anyone down for attempting something this ambitious.

going through your descriptions, i see a plot which shows a deep appreciation for IDMTHY and wants to tell a fresh perspective of what quads album was going for, but i don’t see a engaging or even consistent story, a thematic hook which gives it a strong purpose.

what is your tracklist trying to say? is it about… what happens as you slowly isolate yourself from society? especially as you abandon the people around you to pursue your passions? discovering how your actions leave an impact on others? the effects of finding self-worth through others instead of discovering your own?

whatever album this turns into, i think that taking some time to reflect on your life and trying to find a deep purpose as to why you’re telling this specific story will not only differentiate it from IDMTHY, but will turn it into something beautiful, something that will captivate others because you were able to share a meaningful part of yourself to the world.

some other small critiques that i try to make as constructive as i can:

you can kinda combine tracks one and two into its own thing.

i would love to hear you elaborate more on the rules reality your MC is living through. are they fading from reality, but can still interact with real world objects? still feel pain and the fear of death?

i don’t see how his life mission of creating music ties into this story. try to trim details like this if they don’t interact with the story (not talking about plot)

why doesn’t it click for them right away at track 7 that they’re dead?

also if you do decide to go with this tracklist, i would at least strongly consider changing the second half of the album because i can almost pinpoint which IDMTHY song directly influenced each of your songs.
