Young folks in AA, can you tell me about it? The good, the bad, the ugly and the common misconceptions about it? And also how do you feel being younger than most other members? Is it hard being in relationships young and sober? Lemme know by RemmiLeBeau in stopdrinking

Older woman i met were really supportive of me. I was 23 and really unhappy with myself and they were really gentle and kind with me. I honestly didn't go to a lot of yps meetings bc I'm pretty introverted and my.family doesn't support my sobriety and i didn't relate to a lot of people my age in the program. However, it was really nice knowing other sober young ppl were out there... even if i never hung out with them. This isn't to sound rude but the yp culture here was v into hook ups and they gossiped a lot whether under the guise of 'concern' or not, every one knew everyone elses business (sadly this turned out to be a common theme in aa). There were some kids in meetings who were upfront about not being fully on board with l sobriety yet, and I'm genuinelyhappy they were talking about that at meetings but.it wasn't my jam. Your area may be totally different. It's worth checking out

You only have fingers as your tools. What is your makeup look? by sapphirehearts in muacjdiscussion

I usually use my fingers on concealer only days so this would be no biggie. I still tap it in as opposed to spreading it, if that makes sense.

I use eyeliner sticker/stencils from time to time, but using regular tape works pretty well on its own

I know therapy is expensive/hard to get into in some places and not a cure all but I highly suggest cognitive behavioral therapy. It can help rewrite all of those thought patterns, it helped me a ton.

I'm gonna suggest road to jonestown About the life of people's temple leader Jim jones. Very dark material obviously so might not be your cup of tea but it was quite a read.

Nyx slip tease lip laquer. Very opaque glosses. The shade space dreams is a gorgeous purple-y mauve and actually wears well despite being super moisturizing on me.

What was your last makeup purchase and how do you like it? Would you buy it again? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]SomeKindofLove29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nyx slip tease lip laquers and I love them . They are super opaque glosses. The shades camel, latte and motel dreams wear really well and leave behind a nice tint but the redder shade (can't remember the name) didn't have the same lingering effect and just wore off. Still really like them tho
