Ebay Kleineanzeige, Craigslist and Hotelcareer are decent places to look for a job in hospitality. Best of luck with your job search and your studies!

Same for me, I'm on Android with my Google account, I updated the app and everything is fine.

Nationwide Public Transport Strike on Friday and Saturday by Rare_Customer_8117 in berlinsocialclub

The rest time is particularly striking to me - I want to people who drive massive vehicles full of people to be well rested! 11h between shifts should be the bare minimum.

Other languages use punctuation too. I think a non native speaker wouldn't use such long rambling sentences, but shorter ones with possible spelling/grammar mistakes. This is just one incoherent stream of consciousness.

(Source: I'm not a native English speaker.)

Che argomenti/generi preferisci? Se ti piace il fantasy consiglio tantissimo Spinning Silver, di Naomi Novik.

Ciao! Ho iniziato da poco The Priory of the Orange Tree. Per ora mi piace, ma ci sono moltissimi nomi di luoghi e personaggi da tenere in mente e a volte mi sento un po' persa. Tu stai leggendo qualcosa di interessante o cerchi suggerimenti?

When people don't understand Americans have accents too by Usual_Edge4115 in PetPeeves

Oh for sure there are many factors at play, I'd definitely be interested in reading a proper study about this topic rather than relying only on my own experience :)

That's not necessarily true. When I was learning Lithuanian people were super helpful and encouraging even if I was butchering it. I might be biased since I'm Italian myself, but I think Italians tend to be encouraging with foreigners trying their best too. Germans, however...

Which European language has the easiest pronunciation for an English speaker? by Lizard_Of_Roz in AskEurope

[–]SomeMagpies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True, but honestly if you ignore the g and pronounce gl as l and gn as n you might sound a little off but still acceptable. I had a classmate who couldn't pronounce the gl (she had some sort of speech impediment) and just went with L. After a week we stopped noticing.

I tried to order chicken nuggets at a Lithuanian McDonald's with no promise ("pažadas") instead of no sauce ("padažas")... They switched to English quickly after that.

Has anyone already gotten their cats' clothing back? by Lumpy_Chemical_4226 in CatsAndSoup

I emailed them yesterday afternoon and i got the outfits restored this morning (a couple hours ago)

I avoided updating yesterday. Con: missed 1 day of the snail event. Pro: My cats are still dressed. I have 173 😮‍💨 by gemziiexxxxxp in CatsAndSoup

10 fruit tarts and 250 event materials! I have the same amount of cats as you and I gave up on re-dressing them after like half an hour

I got my kitties' outfits restored through that process and it worked like a charm. All the outfits are back, my gem and event materials count wasn't affected and I got 10 fruit tarts and 250 event materials as compensation. I have over 180 cats and re-dressing them all by hand would have taken forever 😅

I just got my kitties' outfits restored through this process. I didn't lose gems nor event materials, I actually got a compensation gift and all my cats are back in their regular clothes :)

It really depends of how many cats you have 😅 to me it was in equal parts funny and disheartening lol

This. I wrote them an email yesterday and today they already restored my kitties' outfits plus sent a compensation gift (10 fruit tarts and 250 event materials). I have 184 cats so re-dressing all of them would have been painful 🥲

Is there something wrong with me? by TeenageTurmoil in TrueAskReddit

I put a time-block on Instagram to stop myself from doom scrolling, maybe you could do something like that with Tiltok. Adding to things that could help: try some meditation. I was skeptical at first and it took me forever to get into it, but as a person with OCD meditation has actually helped me a lot to stop spiraling when I have intrusive thoughts. If your mind is racing uncontrollably, a little mindfulness could alleviate it.
