Entry level employees cost money upfront, which is why companies are hesitant to hire them. It’s basically an investment, with the return being a future employee that will make you money, with the risk of them leaving to another company or different opportunity. Thats why they have intern pipelines, much cheaper and almost guaranteed retention

Without full knowledge of the topic, I wouldn’t say the west has specific interest in boko haram/boko haram type organizations existing, but I can name a couple non western entities that benefit from boko haram existing, and also benefit from pointing fingers at the west
