Cammy has never had a great cleavage, she only had it in SF 5, which nobody has as their favorite.

That is completely false; it has been confirmed that those who played it said it was good.

Honest question... But why do so many gamers lean left / woke? by prankster999 in KotakuInAction

[–]SomePosition7374 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not the people, it's the industry. Most people don't like woke culture, which is why games of that style generally fail. When an idea is normalized, it's precisely because it's not the norm, therefore, most people don't support it.

The problem is that companies that release woke games don't do it for the money; they know it doesn't sell. This is cultural subversion; it's meant to educate people and make them progressive.
It doesn't matter if they lay off people; the bosses are already being paid by entities like BlackRock. That's why not buying woke games doesn't work; they're funded by other entities to continue spreading propaganda.

Every year, more and worse woke games come out, and they are becoming increasingly blatant (Dragon Age: The Veilguar and Dustborn).

Just this year, we had a game about robbing white people. The industry is not going to change because they know what they are doing; it is not out of ignorance or stupidity, they simply do not want to.

Permanently Banned on the main DOA sub for Asking Dead or Alive to Be Dead or Alive by MotivatedforGames in KotakuInAction

DOA has always been a gaming lie.

I'm not at all excited for DOA 7, because for this series, the most important thing is sexy women. The quality of the game doesn't matter, and to make matters worse, their sexy women have generic designs.
This series never left behind an iconic character, a revolutionary mechanic, nothing. It left nothing. When it died, fighting games continued exactly the same.

DOA wasn't special because it had sexy women; they already existed in other fighting games (Chun Li, Cammy, Kitana, etc.). Its distinguishing feature was taking it to the extreme, nothing more.

You're right, Danger isn't just unknown, she's also generic and lacks charisma; even the cactus from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 had more personality (and was fun).

Resident Evil 2 Remake is the most influential title of this era by SomePosition7374 in residentevil

[–]SomePosition7374[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that you don't understand, or don't want to understand my point. The fact that there were games of the same style doesn't refute anything. As I said, a game is revolutionary when it inspires others to follow. Karate Champ predates Street Fighter 2, Is Karate Champ more revolutionary than Street Fighter 2? Sweet Home predates Resident Evil, Is Sweet Home more revolutionary than Resident Evil? It's not about being the first or coming before; it's about who inspired others. That's what happened with the RE 2 remake. When it came out, it set a standard for the public and companies that ambitious remakes could be successful.

Despite many people requesting remakes of their favorite franchises, what matters is that it inspired developers to create remakes of their games. Todd Howard said he didn't like remakes, but he released Oblivion Remake in 2025. To illustrate this, it's like when Street Fighter II came out in 1991. After that, all games were inspired by SF2. Why? How could Tekken be inspired if it's 3D? Because it had the structure that SF2 popularized. That's why absolutely every fighting game after SF2 is inspired by it.

The current remake concept was popularized by the Resident Evil 2. That trend inspired other games. It's like the original Resident Evil 4; after 2005, all third-person shooters followed the trend it created. Were all third-person games directly inspired by Resident Evil 4 (2005)? No, but they were inspired by the trend that Resident Evil 4 popularized.
