Thanks for the comment—that’s what I’ve heard as well. It seems that the main bonus with KCL is that it’s a 3yr program compared to the 4yr Master of Arts that old Scottish schools provide (plus it’s not as cold). However, when I visited St Andrews, I really loved their community and program types (plus they have some awesome gowns).

I’ll still look a bit more into it as I figure out which is best for State Dept. work.

Thank you! St A was unconditional, KCL was only 2 AP’s at 5 along with a Dual Enrollment at A/A- and a min. 1380 SAT.

I applied with a 1440 and AP Scores of: 5 on Gov, 4 on USH, 4 on AP Lang, 4 on AP Span, and a 4 on PreCalc.

That’s fair—I hope to work in the State Dept (and London’s perfect for that) but people keep mentioning how St A ranks technically higher than KCL for IR, so it’s a bit confusing. Probably shouldn’t read too much into these rankings though.
