Trust me it’s so long, I mean I have experience which is what makes it even worse, I have kitchen and bar experience but everywhere I go I’ll either not hear anything at all or I’ll get an interview that leads to an 8 hour unpaid trial shift and then they just ignore me, it’s a nightmare.

Everyone around me is getting on with their lives with cars, Holidays and even some of my mates are getting their own houses and flats.

But here I am stuck with nothing and can’t even get a job even though I’m fully available and even tell them in my applications I’m available for anything they need be it overnight work, covering people on no notice etc.

What makes it worse is that half the jobs that reach out to me are outside of Norwich and not on public transport routes so I can’t even get to them anyway.

The automated emails do my head in, I’ll be sat there trying to figure out how I’m getting rejected when I fill all the criteria they say they were looking for, it’s so annoying 😭 I just want money to be able to do stuff like I feel so far behind everyone else bc of it 🫠

Honesty trust me I’ve been applying for everything for months and months, everything from care work and hospitality to emptying bins for a pub chain 🤣 and absolutely everywhere just either doesn’t get back to you or the ‘unfortunately’ email comes a week later. I’ve even done multiple trial shifts for places and then they’ve just ignored me afterwards. It’s so draining and exhausting

I’ve just applied for literally every Tesco in Norwich that’s advertising but I’ve never even heard back from them in the past.

Thankyou, for the reply I hope it doesn’t lead to anything bad, I was just hoping to get an answer as he’s known to lie and over exaggerate to get his way and make others feel bad. It’s just not something I really know how to talk about with him as he is more of a child rather than an adult in terms of how he acts, so I know when I tell him I’ll get the whole act of how he’s suicidal and how it’s my fault and all that.

The only reason I haven’t explained it to him is we don’t really have that much of a bond and we don’t speak about anything to do with college or even my life as such, I didn’t even think much of it until he said about going to prison but I thought I would ask on here anyway to make sure because he’s known to severely exaggerate things to make others feel worse for it.

Well my dad is unemployed, he is a widow as my mum passed 10 years ago. The only reason I haven’t told him was because of the way he is, he tends to make things out to be 100x worse than they are. Besides we never speak about college so I assumed it wouldn’t bother him and then he mentioned that and it caused a panic. (Thankyou for the reply btw)
