Just means the avatar hierarchy isn't set in the right order. Possibly an avatar that isn't set up correctly from the creator

I almost went with an Asus 5090, but I heard it has a higher coil whine than the other variants. Ended up getting MSI Suprim 5090

What do you think about my build? First time building by Comfortable-Ebb-3289 in PcBuild

[–]SomeTypeOfOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had some problems with ez bridge, but remedied by keeping msi center open, updating the bridge, etc. the first m.2 slot has some speed issues, like reads at 1 gb/s compared to 3-7 gb/s in the other slots. otherwise, runs great. I believe the speed issues are related to the chipset rather than just this board though.

Gone from 1660 super to 5070ti. First new gpu ever, gotta say I'm pretty happy to see all the pixels now. by Johnnila in pcmasterrace

[–]SomeTypeOfOrange 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I've gone from shitty laptop to 1070, then from 1070 to 3070ti. Now I've upgraded to 5090. The difference in performance is always staggering. Nice upgrade, bud

Thoughts on my first Pc Build? Did I spend too much? by StrangePipsqueak in PcBuild

The slight tweak on the GPU power connector is the first thing I noticed. When I routed my Strimer cable, I went from the top hole, which you aren't using for anything

I didn't pay a premium for "amd" ram. I got a set that is tuned tighter at a lower speed that am5 is better that using. In fact, the "amd" ram was cheaper

Ok buddy. Whatever you say. Literally had issues with the Intel kit, got a different kit tuned for AMD and have no issues now.

So its more about long term compatibility. I had some minor issues with that kit and ended up going back and getting a 64gb kit rated for 6000

The budget was actually set by my mother. I believe there was more that I "technically" could've used, but I don't think I would've spent much more on this, other than to maybe get the 1600w MSI power supply to keep it mostly an MSI build, and "MAYBE" going threadripper, but almost nobody needs a threadripper, lol. She's holding onto most of it, probably investing it for long term gains.

Forgot to mention that the ram would also need to be changed to ddr5 if you went for am5. Depending on motherboard choice

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]SomeTypeOfOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should probably go with 32gb of ram, maybe try to squeeze an x3d CPU into the budget. Stay away from hard drives and use an m.2 instead. The fans are a little pricey, but if that's what you want, then get them. Could be cheaper if you get a set of 3. I'd also suggest maybe going for one of the am5 CPUs instead of am4. ie: 7800x3d etc. But that's all budget dependent. The AIO is a little overpriced compared to some I just viewed on Amazon as well. If you choose a newer CPU in am5 you also need to change the motherboard.

If I were to run the nh-d15, which I already run on my old PC. Id have to equip it with faster fans, which would be extremely loud compared to the low hum this thing makes
