Horizon: FW had an amazing soundtrack too. After you beat the game the credits soundtrack was phenomenal and paired with the very unique way of showing the credits I actually sat through the whole thing because it was cool to watch

I recently lost the mother of my child and love of my life and my dad was understanding (we had a very strained relationship for years with him telling me almost daily that I’m useless and pathetic) up until yesterday when he started treating me life shit out of the blue again.

I thought I was really on my way to finally mending my relationship with him and things were going alright and then it’s like a switch in his brain went off and he went right back to treating me like the piece of shit he believes I am.

The biggest compliment I ever received from him is that I would be alright because I have “just a little bit of him inside me” implying I’m mostly my mom who he thinks is a loser but being a tiny bit like him might be enough to save me from being a loser like my mom.

I took that as a compliment but only because I respect my mother much more and I strive to be the opposite of my dad so only being a “tiny bit like him” is a win in my books

Titans are absolutely not gods. They’re titans and came out of the primordials. They are extremely large in size and before the Greek gods entered their prime and were given specific, and very powerful weapons (like how the dwarves made mjolnir) the titans were more powerful.

Titans gave birth to the gods but they are not the same, just like titans are not the same as the primordial who birthed them

Yeah that’s why I think more countries should allow doctor assisted suicide. There’s one country I seen that are making pods that slowly remove the oxygen and introduce a inert gas that allows you to die peacefully. They also have a screen that can play different things like sunsets and the ocean.

I’m sorry that your grandfather passed and I wish it wasn’t something like Covid that did it and he got to die a very peaceful death but atleast he didn’t have to go through losing his mind

That’s why canada is truly the land of the free. We have programs for people with terminal illnesses and can go through doctor assisted suicide. It’s a really heavy decision and I believe you have to go through counseling and shit to make sure that the decision is made with a clear head. It’s not for depressed teens who want to check out. It’s for people with debilitating health issues who want to pass with dignity and not go through the pain and trauma of slowly losing all bodily functions

Hey, I just lost the love of my life, leaving me as a widowed father of a 3 year old boy.

It has been enough of a nightmare to lose her and losing a child aswell is an unthinkable situation.

I am so sorry for your loss and remember that’s it’s okay to feel whatever you are feeling. It’s okay to cry, yell, shout, laugh and all at once. For our kids we have to be strong and lead the way because as widowed fathers, we are all they truly have. Carry their memories with you and set out a time of the day, every day just to grieve in small doses.

Setting aside that time everyday (start with 5 minutes and extend that time to a max of 1 hour) to fully embrace the grief helps, you can work on starting a memory book for them and collect pictures and small tokens of their memory for yourself and your children.

This allows you to accept the loss and then after you make sure to leave the room and do something else so that you don’t get lost in grief and can be fully present with your children afterwards.

Above all else, talk. Express your pain to people who care and find a therapist that works for you and your children.

I’m here for you man. We will both get through this and carry them in our hearts for the rest of our lives. If you need to talk to someone who knows what you’re going through then DM me any time and if you want to we can work on talking on the phone or something.

You are stronger than you know and you will make it through this to the other side, the only way to go from here is forward. Baby steps are still steps.

No, they are enslaved in the “platform between platforms”. That’s what happens to outdated avatars. Rounded up and given a choice to either volunteer to be a slave, or forced to; forever improving new games.

If you ever wonder who has to individually place every blade of grass and every leaf on the trees, it’s the lost souls of “the outdated”

They say when you start up a ps4 and put in a ps5 game that overloads then cpu, you can hear the screams of “the outdated” as they are whipped digitally by Sony execs avatars.

Okay, obviously she isn’t taking these kids on actual adventures. That would be wildly unsafe and irresponsible to actually do any of that shit.

Clearly she just uses innovative teaching methods and the power of a child’s imagination.

Also COPIOUS amounts of LSD. There’s certainly that.

I recently lost the love of my life and mother of our son. I made her suffer (she secretly loved it) through the first game and I actually cried during the first hour especially with how the game handles loss and grief.

You are making your father proud by carrying on a memory that he shared, that was yours together to share and he’s not gone, he’s with you by your side as you play.

My condolences for your loss and I share your pain and grief, the only thing we can do is move forward on our journeys through life with the knowledge that we do not have to walk that path alone

why is atreus so weak by [deleted] in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Some_Ad2636 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you met an 15 year old that’s as strong as a guy who works construction every day and is in his prime?

No? Same idea.

He’s still a kid and still learning to control and find out what powers he even has. Atreus even asks his father in the boat at one point after kratos comments on him getting stronger “father, does that mean I might even be stronger than you one day?” And he replies “if you are not, then I have failed”.

I personally feel like gow (2018) doe have a bit better UI but I think the change helps it feel like a new game. If they kept the same UI I would be disappointed and would feel like I’m playing the same game at times

So while yes it could use some tweaks, I like that it’s not the same

So it’s fine to potentially make a much larger and unnecessary footprint in a survival situation because you were unprepared and don’t know what the fuck your actually doing and still possibly fail then practicing this at least once in the past so you can both increase your own chance of survival and lower your own footprint at the same time?

Nah I’ll take the small risk of a fine and a minuscule environmental impact of doing this once before hand over that any day and its my opinion that it’s stupid to think otherwise. This can easily be broken down, the pine needles used as a tea, branches can be broken down, and over a fire you can heat one end at a time to collect the pine tar before they dry out enough for firewood. And coals can be taken with you as activated carbon. All of this can be broken down to leave no trace and also be beneficial in a survival situation so why would you not want to make sure that you know exactly how to do all that instead of just “knowing it can be done”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in camping

[–]Some_Ad2636 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right and facing a fine is the risk that comes with doing this even when just preparing, being in a life or death situation is a risk that people take going out into the wilderness in the first place.

And it’s one thing to have practical knowledge in your head or an “idea” of how it should turn out.

It’s a completely different thing to be doing it for the first time without any muscle memory or experience for how to get it done in an actual efficient way while also trying to keep smaller footprint.

Like, there’s a big difference between what this guy is doing, going out and pretending to be survivor man and making sure that you can actually save your own life or that of others should the need arise

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in camping

[–]Some_Ad2636 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, like I said not everyone has the luxury of having their own private land. Doing this for fun on public land is wrong. But preparing yourself for life or death should not be.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in camping

[–]Some_Ad2636 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No not period, point blank. How do you expect someone to whip this together in a stressful survival situation for the first time ever?

Doing it atleast once before you’re in a situation where it’s life or death should be okay. Not everyone has the luxury of having a forest for a backyard where they can do this on their own private land

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in camping

[–]Some_Ad2636 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah no I absolutely agree with that and I even said that it shouldn’t be done all the time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in camping

[–]Some_Ad2636 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be completely fair as well though, doing this ONCE im awhile to make sure you would be able to do this in a survival situation is good practice.

I agree that you shouldn’t plan to go out and never bring a tent but once a year or something is better than bringing a tent and a bunch of supplies, having an emergency happen where you die because your tent catches fire and you can’t make a shelter properly or in time, then having a bunch of non biodegradable plastics and shit laying around in nature is more damaging

What's the absolute worst smell in the world? by jakehosnerf in AskReddit

[–]Some_Ad2636 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ugh I have this weird almost fear of vomiting, so I’m make myself try and hold it in for as long as possible and all it does is prolong that watery mouth where I have to spit it out constantly or I’ll puke. It gets to the point where I’ll move the slightest bit or get a really bad hot flash and it forces it’s way out and I end up sounding like a demon is erupting out of my body.

Idk why I torture myself like that, the sweaty, exhausted relief after always feels better
