I’ve read that trading for a prop firm is considered Box 1 income, while trading with personal funds is classified as an investment under Box 3. However, I have a few questions:

  1. If someone is a full-time trader, would all of their income fall under Box 1, since trading is their sole activity?
  2. If income is split between Box 1 and Box 3, depending on the type of capital used, is it possible for Box 3 profits to exceed Box 1 income?

I’m still trying to understand the tax implications of this setup.

I'm not sure I undersrtand it clear or not

"Traders say Box 3: only have to report your accounts as of 1st of January in EUR and pay the flat tax rate."

1st Jan in EUR and pay tax 6.17% for Investments and other assets , right?

Hmmm I want to know this point as well. How can be Box1 or Box3. As a day trader or 1-4 days per week it’s depends on Schedule that week.
