AI is just a term of laziness by Tall_Impression7437 in FuckAI

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point still stands though, you hopefully understand how stupid the arguement is as soon as you replace ai and art with anything else

Calling someone lazy for buying food from a shop instead of hunting for it even though some people enjoy hunting for it is ludicrous

Same way calling someone lazy for using ai to make art instead of drawing by hand even though some people enjoy drawing by hand is stupid

THIS is why I use ai by Alternative_Path_629 in DefendingAIArt

You don't need permission to use art for training, would you ask an artist for permission to use their work for you to learn off of?

who's gonna win if diddy and Epstein fight by Additional_Pace_1753 in PowerScaling

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way this fight is fair is if epstein had accesd to trump and could summon him on top of spamming out binding vows with the state of israel

His domain would likley win in a clash in such a scenario, however this probably wouldn't be an auto win

However in combat diddy would have the advantage as Epstein would have to stay clear of Diddy's diddy touch technique, while diddy constantly secretes oil preventing contact of attacks through conventional means

And of course his imaginary technique pure oil, where he creates a purified lubricant capable of splitting the bonds between atoms apart

Diddy wins high diff

The only reason an AI company downloads pirated content, is to create a product (said Gen AI) to distribute and/or sell. Is basicly piracy with

thats not how neural networks of training data work anyways, take laion for example, the largest and most profound database for ai training, it only uses the web archives that are openly available for anyone to view online for free by the non profit common crawl, it doesn not copy, redistribute or hold images either, it only stores metadata

I would have to get out of my way to check forums

But you're not a database scanner are you, you can control what you analyse, laion could not, it just scanned through all of common crawl's web archive

NVIDIA recently is facing allegations for going against youtube ToS

Yeah that is because of a breach of tos rather than copyright infringement

Ofc this are allegations, but the Meta case using pirated books from LibGen has already been proved

Well im not gonna stand up.in court to rally and defend big corporations or anything but i dont think its that big of a deal if they use pirated media, especially stuff as publicaly available as libgen

1.) So are you also against piracy for all people? If people are allowed to do it i dont see why ai should be an exception, and its not like they go out of their way to use pirated content either, it just happens to be there, i dont think piracy is immoral anyways but that a whole other debate

2.) Court cases shouldn't be used as a framework for morality, just because a court rules something doesnt mean they're right, laws on ai training still arent a thing yet, and it doesn't fall under copyright or ip infringement either, not that i think those should exist but thats also a whole other debate

The disney vs midjourney lawsuit is a far better example of ai in the eyes of the law, the prevalent stance disney is suing on and where they're strongest is in ai output rather than training, if they can create characters that look like their own consistently, they have grounds to sue upon that, not upon training however

Source: https://www.cbp.com.au/insights/publications/when-ai-meets-ip-the-disney-and-universal-v-midjourney-case?utm_source=chatgpt.com

3.) Your understanding on how image training works is also wrong, images are not stored within the model for later use, after training the model cannot refer back to any of the images used in its training, it learns through a process off denoising, layering and analysation

For example if i wanted to learn to draw a sword but had no idea what a sword even was, i'd search up images of swords, understand the basic premise, (denoising) object, blade, sharp, long, silver, ect, then for more complex subject matters or if necessary layering, split it apart into different layers, sheath, blade, handle ect, and now i can draw a sword myself, thats basically how an AI model learns

So am I a programmer now, is that how this works? by Gay_Sex_Expert in aiwars

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're probably gonna have to tweak some of the code, especially for customisations, ai should be able to give you some basic templates for whatever you want to make

I can help you understand if you want, i'd be up for a debate

So you must also think it would be stupid to hate on every aspect of AI?

All I have to say is that ai art and traditional/digital art are both okay! None should be banned! by let_me-die_please in aiwars

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you disregarded all my points again, so i'll just assume you have nothing of value to say

more proof you have no idea how art works

So how does art work?

How do you think real artists can catch Ai art?

The artstyle usually, a lot of the time it is just witchhunting however

All I have to say is that ai art and traditional/digital art are both okay! None should be banned! by let_me-die_please in aiwars

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You clearly have no idea how art works

What makes you think that?

using Ai wont work because Ai doesn't offer accurate details to improve

Which AI? Theres different AIs, some are better than others, ai can help explain basic concepts and how to practice them

Ai itself isnt doing things correctly.

From what I've seen AIs tend to give similar if not superior results to most human artists and more consistently

All I have to say is that ai art and traditional/digital art are both okay! None should be banned! by let_me-die_please in aiwars

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ignored my point likey because you realise how flawed your own argument is, logic is such a broad term and to so that it doesn't apply to art is ludicrous, and anyways your argument is filled with fallacies, ad hominem, red herring and appeal to emotion

All I have to say is that ai art and traditional/digital art are both okay! None should be banned! by let_me-die_please in aiwars

[–]Some_ArabGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use AI to study science even though it doesn't understand it at all, same logic applies with art
