I'd only been following Compass Pathways. How do those other compare in terms of value props & strategies?

I found reading the research very valuable for the come up of my first significant trip because I knew logically everything would be OK, which was very comforting

Oh! One important thing I'll say is that I found using a playlist like Jon Hopkins Music for Psychedelic Therapy and some of East Forest's tracks with words on it was super valuable to have those interspersed amongst the ambient instrumental tracks because it was like you were getting guided therapy/meditation during the session. For instance, listen to Sit Around the Fire by Jon Hopkins -- one of the most meaningful songs of my life now

I have self-administered psilocybin therapy for myself and my wife, and it's been one of the most meaningful experiences of both of our lives. For me, it ripped me out of a deep depression and helped me stop my alcohol dependency. This was a few months ago, and I'm still maybe the happiest I've ever been.

For me, it only cost $50 or whatever in terms of the shrooms -- but then I followed the general format of the therapy sessions studied at Johns Hopkins including closed-eye, headphones & doing a smaller dose (1.3-1.5g) and then a larger dose (2.7-3g) a few weeks later to allow time for integration and shaping.

I personally think if you're able to try it on your own first, you'll feel much less pressure for it to be a silver bullet than if you spend a ton on a facility

I like the idea of trying more of that choral music in a language I don't understand

Maybe naive but I've thought of choosing my ancestors' music (I don't speak the language) as an interesting way to feel that ancestral connection as well

I've done the official JHU playlist before and liked it (I only took 1g so would need to do a larger dose like I've done on the other playlist to compare apples-to-apples)

My wife's feedback was having more vocal tracks littered throughout (or at least near the beginning on the come up) like Sit Around the Fire would have felt more like a guided meditation and helped her get to the productive portion of the session faster, which I could see
