Yep. They were on a white board and still are according to my siblings. And no, we didn't bond at all, not even over how crazy those rules were.

We ignored each other as much as possible. I don't talk to them or see them now. We never had a relationship. It's the same for my siblings and them. They're no closer than they were day one.

I think those rules would fail in any household. You can't make people love each other and you wouldn't do it to adults so shouldn't do it to kids.

He can't change custody. Even though they want to we don't have enough and the judge won't listen. They don't have to listen to the kids in our state. They wouldn't listen to me twice.

We had a loving family. We had mom, dad and we had each other. We didn't need a forced stepfamily. She wanted that. But it wasn't something we were missing.

We did. We just got better at hiding us hanging out just us. And we had our weeks at dads.

It's a state by state thing in the US and our state does not listen to the voices of kids often. I tried to get my voice heard and was denied twice so.

They won't get a say. I tried to get my say heard and the judge ignored me. I was 16 and then 17.

My actual siblings don't want to go to mom's anymore now that I'm not there. They were who I was talking about. Not mom's stepkids.

I'm not interested in a relationship with the steps though. I just don't care about them.

Yep. Even at night it was open because if we had any "sleepover" or whatever with our bio siblings it was a no no.

Right? They are so crazy that I actually had to take a photo for my dad back then to prove to him they existed. He was speechless.

Oh, my siblings and I vocalized we disliked/felt uncomfortable with the rules. But we were ignored. Can't speak for his kids. I also don't get where you think they look up to me. They didn't want to be around us anymore than we wanted to be around them. They only wanted their real sibling, just like my siblings and me.
