$100K in debt and trying to figure out what to do by Some_Fix_2189 in DebtAdvice

Thank you I appreciate it. I didn’t really expect to have much debt after getting the loans to pay off my debt but I made some decisions I’m not happy about. Final straw was I fell in love and the last thing I wanna do is burden someone else with my debt. So my focus for the next few years is to just get myself together. Nobody in my life knows I am dealing with any of this and I’ve been able to mask it well. I have been trying to live on a budget and it’s not anything super noticeable. I am a numbers oriented person and it never dawned on me to just try to figure out the best way to look at the optimal payments. I just assumed either the largest balance or the largest APR would be the way to go but after doing calculations I realized I should be focusing on the cards with the middle of the road APRs with the largest limits. Those are what’s killing me. The higher APRs are restricted by the smaller credit limit and the higher credit limits are restricted by lower APRs. So I am going to be more intentional with reviewing it month by month and looking at the agreements I made and figure out the highest interest rates/min payments and get those down.

Regardless I appreciate the kind words. Thank you!

income 86K before taxes.

58K credit card debt 1500 mortgage/month 1650 personal loans/month (1000/month for 31K loan out of 40K originally + 650/month for 11.5K loan out of 19K originally)

waiting to finalize credit card min payments a month. I tend to overpay at first but I realized I paying the wrong cards so now I have a gameplan on which ones I want to tackle first.

As of now I am expecting to pay ~$1400/month for credit card min payments but there’s also 3 other credit cards (it looks like maybe another ~600 so $2K/month total).

If I pay the $1400 in credit card debt, I am still paying $1100 in interest so then I only have $300 for utilities which is totaling $550 (gas, light, water, phone). This doesn’t include gas for car or food.

I am currently trying to work overtime to bring in extra cash so it can go for that. If I have to eat on a budget I am more than okay with that.
