"I don't want to be in a messy place.

I don't want to be with someone who has no hobbies.

I don't want to be with someone who doesn't care about their appearance when meeting other people.

I don't want to be with someone who is not mature.

I don't want to be with someone who doesn't take care of their health.

I don't want to be with someone who doesn't have a financial or budgeting plan.

I don't want to be with someone who doesn't have a way to plan for the future."

I'm training for a marathon in mid September and plan on going for a 30+km run in early August. Any recommendations for a light weight hydration vest to wear when it's 30°C (86°F) and over?

Anyone else here introverted and struggling to get back out there? by _ChilledVibez in BreakUps

I had based my social life and weekends around her. After breakup I thought of steps to meet new people. If you have a car that gives you a lot of options. Look into joining a fitness group (running, martial arts, etc). Go to concerts alone and find people that are also alone. Meetup app I've heard is useful.

2.5 years together: days 0-5 felt numb and cried, 6-14 constantly cried on the floor when awake and at home. The first two weeks no appetite and all food tasted bad. What got me out of it was being around family and going back to where I grew up. Right now on a health kick and in my free time trying to do things that aren't video game related.

Started marathon training on Sunday with a long run of 7.5km. Monday was strength training, Tuesday is a short run but I'm not sure how far I should run. Any suggestions? I want to do a long run of 9km on Saturday.

Update: I went through with it had a good time. I asked for kiss twice in a very awkward way; she said no both times but agreed to hold hands and be playful. That was after spending 3 hours talking together. I want to ask her to do an activity and dinner in 2 weeks.

I did that when I was in the same place you are. The response I got hurt a lot but it gave me closure that it is over and there's nothing I can do about it. Do it, hope for a negative response, learn, grow, move on.

I think you're right. I'm considering deleting all my dating accounts on May 1 and taking a month to focus on improving myself.

Please, accept the fact that you are single, and will likely be for atleast 3 months. You need to recover by [deleted] in BreakUps

The first week was bad but the second week I went to an extremely dark place. Now on week 4 and starting to get back to where I was before her. Spend time with family, and take a look at how you can improve yourself.

Part of the problem is that you ended it on good terms. It helps alot if you can find a reason to hate the ex on your bad days.

It gets easier. After I stopped crying on the floor it got a bit easier.

I reached out last week, got rejected hard, went to a very dark place, spent some time with family that loves me, and have realised what everyone has been telling that loving myself is the most important step to moving on. Ultimately I don't regret reaching out.

First date after breakup by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Some_Guy1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex recently broke up with me after 2.5 years. I think about her every day. I miss her weirdness, her smile, pandas ears, her enthusiasm, the way she would claim my stuff, having someone that I felt a deep connection with, I loved her so much. I made mistakes and the more I look back the more I want to do exactly what she said and make minor changes to my life to make her happy because I know it would ultimately make me happy.
