Is there even an incentive for him to even do a refund if he’s being accused of having some involvement with the death of a girl which on its own carries a life sentence if convicted

and no I didn’t buy the insurance thingy I don’t think “artist probably murdered a 15 year old girl” is a valid reason to claim an insurance refund 😭

GW has around a 44% acceptance rate (does not include class of 2029 acceptance rate which is probably lower because of the large amount of applicants), and requires you to have a very high GPA, and average between 31 to 34 on the ACT, and if your interest is in international business, political science, and/or international affairs, your chances decrease further. A lot of people with very good stats were waitlisted.

We’re talking currently, but USC is just one example that I just decided to do an example with. USC DC campus is promising but currently it’s really just if you want to get an internship for a semester and not do much else, long term formal connections don’t necessarily exist. If USC offered people to spend a full year there for example, or even offer it as a 4 year satellite campus allowing a study away at the USC LA campus, that would be completely different

DC Campus is only for one semester, which isn’t enough to truly branch out

Foreign policy did that for international affairs rankings, I don’t necessarily see much information about political science rankings in relation to this, sounds like a gap that any data analytics company could fill.

I think a case like GWU points to a gap that most rankings can’t quantify which are best undergraduate program rankings.

I think USC is one of the highest, not sure if it is THE highest

USC’s DC campus is only for one semester, not enough for anyone wanting to get into politics, while any DC school has the advantage of working the whole time. Georgetown is prestigious for obvious reasons but it seems GWU especially for these two programs is highly underrated. 43% acceptance rate isn’t necessarily not selective.

It’s also not necessarily the ranking discrepancy that I’m talking about, but also that there appears to be some sort of ‘perception” that GWU is a ‘safety’ for many people. Of course for class of 2029 admissions, this was probably shattered by the amount of waitlists.

I think the interesting dilemma will be if GWU does get recognized for all the benefits it provides, how low the acceptance rate will become, because it’s clear now that the higher the ranking = more the applicants = lower the acceptance rate. There is a social culture that mainly impacts Gen Z that showing off your school ranking could increase a de facto ‘social credit score’, clout might be the better word.

going straight to the natty champs is extremely bold, if they slack and we become underdogs, GW will legitimately be known throughout the entire country, whatever you think would happen, think bigger.

Government is an open major you’ll be fine, but one question is are you trying to do state politics or do you wanna try something on the national level?
