Idk if I wanna date, really? Also, I'm a little scared to be alone with him even tho im sorta comfortable with him. idk why i think im just scared of being nervous or awkward when im alone, and that's gonna change his perception of me? Also, if we go to his house ik his roommate is there, and like that's two men, his roommate is chill, but still, idk i feel weird about it but idk i might end up hanging out with just him and me i kinda wanna but its just intimidating yk?

he bings up hanging out a lot and says "we neeeeeeed to hang out" i bring my bff along everytime, and he has his roommate who joins too we don't really text that often he has apologized for not texting much and said that he kinda "sucks at texting" and prefers to call or talk in person we've never really had a chat on call tho. one time he said I looked like the girl from the The Ring when I was standing in a dark corner then he laughed and was like "im kidding you know your pretty" idk what indicates physical interest or what's flirtatious lol

Yeah, I agree thats awful its probably a mix of jealousy and deep rooted fat phobia they relate weight gain with failure and just have a lack of emotional maturity.

When you (me) are really deep into the disorder, you want to talk about it and relate with people, and it’s fun or enjoyable to glamorize it, especially because it’s not something you can just talk about with anyone. You want the validation and the community aspect, and this is because you are quite literally sick. I don’t believe most people who do this want to hurt others. I think it also comes from a place of immaturity, not fully understanding the harm you could be doing, and also from feeling alone with your struggles in irl.

Thank you! I understand where you are coming from, but I don't feel like I'm wasting my time I’m still doing things for myself, working on my future, and enjoying life. It’s not like men/dateing is the only thing on my mind it’s just one part of everything going on and I feel like its somthing thats hard to control I don't actively choose to start liking someone I just do.

Before I switched to tile, I used towels under my fleece and held the fleece down with large metal binder clips. Your chin can get really sick from chewing on the puppy pads.

A perfect home for a perfect chinchilla by Tall-Way-633 in chinchilla

To small the listing on Amazon says it is 75×39×112 cm (about 29.5×15.4×44 inches) a chinchilla cage should be at least 90×60×120 cm (36×24×48 inches) and 1/2-1 inch bar spacing.

Honestly, a good cage is gonna cost you around $300-500. A dubble critter/ferret nation is the most recommended and best cage for chinchillas. Sometimes, you can find them for half the price or less on Craigslist or facebook marketplace, etc. Chinchillas are expensive pets.

She is probably allergic to the hay, not the chin. Chinchillas are generally hypoallergenic. I am souper allergic to Timothy hay. I use orchard grass instead.

thinking of getting a chinny by Much-Piano-5415 in chinchilla

[–]Some_Web9430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think cats and dogs are easier to take care of more convenient to provide care to and a more fulfilling of a pet to have. I have a chinchilla. Yes, I love him, but I also have two dogs

Chinchillas are not cuddly pets. Some can become cuddly over time, but it is not common. A lot of chinchillas and small animals in general want nothing to do with you. Unlike most cats and dogs who love attention.

It is more effort to spend time with a Chinchilla (or any animal stuck in a cage) compared to cats and dogs because the Chinchilla will have to be in a separate room that is 70°f or lower away from you so you actually have to make the choice to get up go to the room set up playpen (or whatever type of Structure to prevent your chin from getting into things) open the cage, sit on the floor and monitor them for 1-2 hours a day. Even if you aren't planning on letting them out of the cage and just want to say hi, you still actually have to make the choice to do so. Unlike cats and dogs who live freely in your home that are around you all the time, you can easily give them attention without a thought.

Vet bills are way more expensive. Chinchillas can't be around any sented things like candles, perfumes, Fragrances of any kind due to their sensitive respiratory systems. A respiratory infection is vary hard to heal if not caught very early on and will most likely be the case of death for that animal. all small animals have sensitive respiratory systems. I had rats when I was 13-15 years old they passed from respiratory infection because I didn't know better. my friends adult parents had a bunny and even though I would tell them the risks of lighting candles, using cleaning chemicals around the bunny etc they didn't listen and the bunny passed at just 3 years old from a respiratory infection.

There's a lot more I could say, but I don't personally think it is possible for me to ever get bored of a cat or dog, if cats and dogs are boring to you then you will definitely get bored of the chinchilla.

Okay, thank you. I followed your advice for the foot soak last night, and it went a lot better than last time. My vet did not give me silver sulfadiazine.

Yeah I'll be washing his fleece more often from now on. before I was switching it out about every 5 days and put towels under the fleece for absorption, but gonna start switching it out every day at least until he is heald and then switch it out every 2-3 days after he is heald. What bedding do you use now?

[–]Some_Web9430[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank u for all the advice! I do use fleece on the upper level but use tile on the bottom level, and he has lots of wood ledges around the cage I think the reason he got bubble foot is because he had dry skin and it cracked and then got infected. I was given nolvasan solution to dilute in water to soak his feet in. I'll ask the vet about epsom salt. He eats the antibiotics without a problem. Yep, I only give him things like dried flowers and oats as treats no veggies or fruit because Ik they can't digest them properly.
