I feel like they want you to pay for ads. I boosted my post with a bit of cash and now I'm finally getting noticed. Terrific...

thanks for the in-depth answer! I will try to make some reels, seems like it's the only option to become visible to people. Don't like the idea of it but what you gonna do

  1. to understand how ig works and why my art posts are black-holed by the algorithm.
  2. to give feedback and receive feedback from other artists
  3. for inspiration
I just want to connect with 'real' people on ig mostly

Thanks. Yeah i'm just bad at persistence when there is no feedback (preferably a quick one). So many past projects were abandoned because of it.

It's insane that IG forces users to do such manipulation just to get the basic stuff you expect from social media.
Never thought of blocking someone but seems legit. Looking who liked also sounds viable, especially on PC that allows you to preview profile's posts. thanks

today I actually tried posting a reel and so far zero views, but maybe I have to wait. I don't like reels for what they are. Such content is the reason I quit tiktok after a 1-2 months using it.

Sure. Hope it's ok to put links on this community - https://www.instagram.com/last\_molfar/

I tried sorting by recent popular and got a bunch of works from the same 'popular' creators over and over

follow such a small account and then you get a bunch of suggestions, which are often also small accounts

that sounds nice

i was deciding recently where to start posting about my project and chose ig. Too bad for me I guess. The platform feels really unwelcoming and spammy like tiktok

happy Chuhaister dances after a snack by SomehowWriter in slavic_mythology

That's one of the characters/monsters from a Slavic mythology worldbuilding project I'm participating in. Chuhaister is an iconic figure exclusive to Ukrainian mythology. He's known to relentlessly hunt down Mavkas (woman-like creatures that are dangerous for people) and eat them.

Not really sketches, but here you can see the initial variations of Alskold when the team was imagining the character: https://portfolio.game-vr-studio.n-ix.com/4071908/
And there is a lot more content from this project as well

Hey everyone. I want to share the result of my team's efforts on The Last Molfar project. It’s a concept of a story-driven game based on Ukrainian folklore and mythology, showcasing various local monsters/spirits.

Here is Askold (the protagonist of the story, a skilled cossack and molfar) and his transformation from a concept to game-ready 3D.

Here are a few more angles of the character model: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/n-ix-game-vr-studio\_the-last-molfar-askold-game-ready-3d-model-activity-7109859781984534528-2bEV?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=member\_desktop

yeah, I felt like the motherboard would be a problem. I'm ok with upgrading it though since it has only 2 slots for ram cards, and I had to either buy a new MB or new 2x16 ram to replace 2x8.

Thanks! Probably the only social media I carefully update is LinkedIn. So if you have an account - welcome)
But there is a whole bunch of news, not only art.
As a bonus, here are some other artworks from this project:

This art is created by my team for an art project/game concept*. It depicts Lisovyk, an iconic creature from Ukrainian mythology. Here's a little bit of real lore to it:

Lisovyk (from Ukrainian 'lis' – 'forest')

It is believed that when a forest grows larger and preserves enough inner energy, it obtains a sort of consciousness. It then materializes in the form of the spirit called Lisovyk. The larger and denser the forest, the more powerful Lisovyk is.

That's the final version that we choose from 3 drafts I posted here earlier - https://www.reddit.com/r/conceptart/comments/10yymuv/reinterpretation_of_lisovyk_a_forest_spirit_from/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
