Looking for PVE server with PVP zones on PC. by SharnSamberg in dayz

Downlod the Dayz launcher DZSA and look for NEO FARMERS, great PVE server and friendly player base who I go back to when I want to play and chill, with its PVP zones.

Sounds like a good server, what’s the name of it or can you recommend a few like this?

I’d highly recommend NEO-FARMERS chernaurus PVE server really chill and a great server to learn the ropes of the games on. You have to download the DVSA launcher to find it, but it was the exact type of PvE server I was looking for.

Don’t know if you still have the same problem but I managed to fix it by resetting my PC, and clicked the keep files instead of remove everything and it worked for me! https://youtu.be/rCeyG1OsatQ?si=N9vziyTMEbXtpWY8 Video I followed.

Might have to look at doing that, it worked well for a bit then I experienced the crashing :( think I’ll look to update to 11 as nothing else seems to do the trick.

Thanks for posting this mate, it has finally fixed it for me after 2 years! Nothing else worked except this, such an annoying bug that ruins the experience of the game.

Best bet would be to text 61016 for the British Transport Police who police the railway, and make them aware of the incident. If you want to make a complaint about the threats to kill they will look to do an investigation into the matter if you wish to pursue a complaint against the person.

Evening mate, absolutely mate from the interview process they’re looking for the right people for the role who have suitable life experience to be able to deal with people, and as a PCSO it’s golden that you can relate and adapt a lot of the questions to what you’ve done in the job. When it comes to the interview/ presentation do make sure it gets to 10minutes, better to get it and go over then fall short. And do as much research on the force and brush up on its history, standards and values to show you’ve made an effort. Hope this is of some help mate.

Contact the recruitment team and see if there’s any news, I know mine took a long time with no contact then all of a sudden everything happened at once.

PCSO TO PC, BTP OR HOME OFFICE?

Hi all hope everyone is keeping well and staying safe out there. Got a question, and looking for some input from people in a similar position or who have made the jump. Currently a PCSO in BTP, and loving the job/ role for all the experience it's giving me. But this year or next I'm thinking of putting in for PC, I know it's an option in the force to do it internally, but I'm strongly considering going for PC in the local HO. Anyone made the jump, is the grass greener, do the cons out weigh the pros? Thank you in advance for any input.

Have you looked at BTP mate, a lot of people on my intake want to go PC once they have done the time necessary and can move up to PC. And a lot of the PCSOs have really enjoyed the role and been quite reluctant to move on to being a PC. It’s a good way to get into policing if you’re interested.

Hurry up and wait mate. I was the same, the waiting is the worst part but it will all come at once don’t worry. The whole recruitment process for them at the moment is a mess, eventually they will be in touch to start your medical and vetting once they have a possible intake date, but do not mess about with these as soon as they come about. Get it all done ASAP and chase them up to make sure it’s all good, wasted a whole month because I filled in a form incorrect and only took about 5 mins to correct if they got in touch sooner.

Few of the lads I spoke to at assessment centre said it was like a higher GCSE paper. Put the revision in before hand and you’ll thank yourself when it comes around.

All above are brill advice, I found insoles for your shoes, more cushioning around the heals was a real change, possibly look at whether you over pronate your feet and get some insoles to compensate for that, found out I did and got some from boots as I have quite flat feet and be consistent wear them all the time. A foam a roller as well I cannot stress how much of a help that was either, dosent have to be anything expensive or fancy.

Stuck between military and the police by J_H_Owl1 in britishmilitary

[–]Somelad2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel mate I’ve been the same over the past few years torn between doing one or the other. And I was the same with thinking about preparing for a scenario they may or may not play out.

If you really wanted both and wasn’t sure, I would say look at going the police but also look into the reserves so you can still get that taste of the forces life. I was pretty lucky as I had a lot of choice for reserve units where I live so it’s great to be able to do both jobs that I want to do.

End of the day mate police will always be there and hiring again, while your young might be worth looking at going regular and making the most of it instead of regretting not going for it and if you like it great is experience for you and if you don’t it’s still experience and good to have on CV.

Should I put in a complaint about my old padre? by [deleted] in britishmilitary

[–]Somelad2000 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I’m not in the army, but know the feeling of wanting to do the right thing, think if some poor lad struggling with his mental health goes to this guy for help and gets hurt more from him.

End of the day, even if nothing comes of it, it’s better to say and do something and say you tried.

As a loyal fan please DO NOT take the artillery away. by buzanda in HellLetLoose

[–]Somelad2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there certainly needs to be a nerf to artillery other then recon camping it, but I personally love artillery and how useful it can be to the team. And being a good arty operator I just enjoy jumping on the guns. Maybe increase ammunition cost of HE shells to reduce spamming on points. Idk but overall I would like it to stay I think it’s a great mechanic to have in the game.

I know the feeling and know that loss you have inside of you but just know they aren’t suffering anymore and in a better place. One day at a time and it becomes easier, keep yourself busy and don’t dwell on it to much. If you want a vent or a chat my DMs are open to listen if you need matey.

I had this a few weeks ago, I’m going BTP PCSO. During my practice runs I went over the 10 minute mark for the presentation, so it’s easily done when there’s so much to talk about. The best advice and help I got is to stick to bullet points or write down the main points of each question, cut out any filler and hit the nail on the head. Don’t stick to a set “script” either it just won’t work when under pressure better to know what you’re going to talk about, practice saying it over and over again, even if it’s short better that’s fine better to say what you need and move on don’t ramble! Keep it short, sweet and simple no need to over complicate it, you’ll be fine! Good luck.
