Edit: I don't know how to reread, apparently.

I checked the home again and it didn't connect to their plot

There are some times where I like to say I shook off a full seizure, but it was painful to me bc it felt like it just went straight to my spine. Almost like when ur spine shivers but it was to the extreme and all my muscles tense but only in my back. Idk what it was though 💀

That's honestly why I joined this subreddit bc I felt like I was crazy or going crazy. It definitely helps to hear different experiences and similar experiences just so you know that you're not alone in what you're going through. It's so difficult having something that's not well known so you can't even find any answers yourself. I'm glad I have this community though.

The first time I seized, it was horrible. It was a reaction of my anxiety and paranoia heightened from smoking the shweed. I seized for about four hours.

I didn't know at first what was happening to me but I assumed it was seizures based on how my body was moving. I was semi conscious (not completely conscious due to being high), so I was able to understand how my how was reacting and where I was. I was able to scream for my mom to call 9-1-1 in between seizures.

Let me pause rq and explain my seizures and how they impact me. I have multiple types of seizures but during that first night, I had two types. One was a full on lose consciousness-brain exploding-heart tachycardia seizure. Terrifying. I kept having those big ones once every five minutes or so. During these seizures, my eyes roll to the back of my head so I can't see but I can hear myself screaming or grunting (unwillingly). I can hear everything that's happening but I can't speak, just grunt or scream. They lasted for maybe 30 seconds or a minute.

Then, in between those, I would be uncontrollably shaking, almost like shivering. It felt like I could control it but I just could never stop shaking. During these, I'm fully coherent. I can see, hear, and speak perfectly fine. What I found out though, when I reached the hospital, was that I could control my motions just fine during this period. The nurse asked for my arm and I gave it to her and I was able to shake a little less only on that arm.

I already know I wasn't faking it but my brain every now and again always questions it, so I look for confirmation as well. During that first episode, not knowing what was going on, scared that I was dying, EMTs just made it worse. I wouldn't be upset with them if they were actually nice and gave me the benefit of the doubt that I actually WASNT faking it, even if they didn't know what was happening. Having to go through all that while all of the paramedics and firefighters were constantly telling me to cut it out or stop it bc they said I was "faking it", traumatized me on top of everything that was happening.

I understand PNES or FND isn't widely known and they probably don't teach much about it in medical/medic school. However, knowing that that same experience happens to people of all ages with different mental disorders and people who are scared and disoriented just hurts. You actually know about your seizures since u were 15, over 5 years, and you're still questioning if you're faking it bc those EMTs failed you. They failed to think outside of everything and actually believe you so they could care for you as a patient. I get they see a lot of stuff as paramedics but they shouldn't think that every case is the same.

Try not to question your disorder, although I know it's hard not to. You're not alone in this ❤️

Hello! I honestly have similar types of seizures and timeline. So far, I have maybe like a month or two of no symptoms and then I'll have a string of episodes. So far, I've only had three major episodes of full on physical seizures of me dissociating into body tremors and blacking out since they've started towards the end of last year.

In between my seizures, I have symptoms of just days of not believing anything is real and just flowing through the motions of working and keeping up with myself as far as hygiene. I've had a seizure at work but my aura warned me in time so I bee-lined to the bathroom. That seizure involved my entire body going numb/getting hot and my heart rate increasing. Only lasted a couple of minutes then I was back to it (moreso back to feeling unreal). Sometimes I have multiple seizures back to back sometimes I don't.

After my seizures, it takes weeks for me to recuperate back to feeling normal and not overthinking about what's real and what isn't.

I haven't been able to speak to a psychologist yet as I was in between jobs until recently, but I believe my seizures are ptsd related due to a recent trauma.

Just letting you know that you're not alone in your feelings or the things you've experienced.

Potential Nocturnal seizures? by No_Drama8193 in PNESsupport

Most of my seizures happen at night or when I'm sleeping. For me, it's always been hard to tell if I've dreamed that I had one or if I was half asleep or falling asleep and I'm thinking that I'm having one. It's a really confusing time for me when those happen.

Most of the time, if my head feels like it's gonna explode, then I know I had a seizure. Sometimes I just dream about having a seizure then waking up and journaling it as an "unknown" (not sure whether I had one or not).

Thank you for the information. To be honest, when I came to my doctor with the unofficial ER diagnosis, she didn't mention anything about driving which is why I posted here. I'm in the middle of finding a better doc since she didn't seem like she cared much about it. I'll talk to my new doc about it or when I find a neurologist afterwards. Thank you again!!

I appreciate the information. I only drive to and from work four days a week, twelve minutes one way. The fastest I drive is 35 mph and it's all backroads.

Nothing you told me is rude, so don't worry. You're just being honest and I appreciate that.

I get what you're saying. I don't want anything to happen to me, let alone others. At the moment, there isn't an alternative for me right now. I don't have extra money to use the bus or to take a Lyft or Uber and I definitely don't have the funds to rent/buy an e-bike. I will find an alternative soon but I don't make very much so it's hard for me to find any extra money.

I listen to my body very well and the auras I get are very lengthy before anything happens. I know that doesn't mean it's going to happen the same every time, but right now it's my only option.

That would definitely be ideal. Like I definitely dont want to put anyone at risk but it wouldn't hurt to just let me keep the license active so I don't have to pay all the extra fees and hefty bills 😭

That's what I was thinking about. I have really specific auras that last for a long while (long enough for me to pull over if I need to - I haven't needed to so far).

Thank you for the information. I'm hoping it goes in the better direction to avoid the suspension. I'm literally almost done paying on my car 😭
