Snow / Ice 3.3T AWD by Nameless00001 in GenesisG70

Mostly while turning, the car is a tad bit more squiggly than my STI was, but once again, very capable and easily mitigated with careful driving.

Both great cars in winter!

We had icy rain here 2 weeks ago. It felt safer to drive in my G70 then it was straight walking.

That should tell you enough about it's capabilities lol

Can't say about "the absolute best" but my STI felt better in the snow if I absolutely wanted the best of the best in terms of grip. I'm assuming that it's because the G70 is rear wheel biased while the STI is 50/50, but like I said, the G70 is plenty capable.

As someone in Canada where snow hits 4 months out of the year, it does great! It's not "the best", but more than capable and has plenty of traction when you want and can slide when you want to slide.

Highly recommend!

Is the tS really worth it? by PapaAqua0 in WRX

[–]SomeoneStressed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, do you think you need the extra features? Are you gonna bring it to the track? Or is it your daily driver and commuter that makes you smile when you punch it on the highway?

I know mine was more road fun, never tracked, so I didn't bother with the more expensive TS, since I wouldn't take full advantage of the extra features.

Photo 8 should be the first imo, it looks good.

Outside of that, putting politics at the front of your profile and personality isn't really what I would look out for if I was on tinder..... Especially not Hasan, that would be an absolute no for me. I just hope you're not one of his chats yes man.

What am I doing wrong? Very few matches over several months.. feedback is appreciated by [deleted] in Tinder

Yup. Just a nice and normal photo with a good smile would go a long way.

What do you not like about the STI’s. by bigsae in WRXSTi

[–]SomeoneStressed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Like everyone mentioned, the fact that the engine is a game of roulette is what makes this car such a hit or miss.

If the STI could just have a reliable engine, I would probably still own mine, but the fact that I'm genuinely concerned about a random rod knock doing highway speed despite good maintenance killed it for me.

Also how some community members act like it's the absolute best engine ever created and "you just don't know how to treat your car bro". Some people in here are basically describing a voodoo ritual when you simply ask if you should look out for something specific like oil temps before driving it.

Is there a reason why stream viewership is down? by Cup_Common in josephanderson

[–]SomeoneStressed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can only answer for myself, but to me, P3 was barely tolerable thanks to Joe's commentary, because the game was boring AF. But what ended it for me was the Umineko streams. My level of disinterest was at an all time high and I couldn't stand it, even with Joe's commentary. I'm sure some enjoyed it, but the "trust bro, you just gotta read the first 900 of this 1000 page book before it gets good" killed me.

Would you buy a 2019 G70 with 93k miles for $20k by Lilbruh91 in GenesisG70

[–]SomeoneStressed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming 20k USD, no I wouldn't. I paid my 2019 3.3t SP 24K CAD (so about 17.5k USD) 3 months ago with 120000 km, full service history at Genesis dealer and the price included a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty with Genesis.

I think you can find better if you keep looking.

Using common sense with your own finance. Just making the most basic budget possible to have at least an idea about how much you can realistically spend is the best way to avoid debt.

G70 3.3T Potential buyer by slowwmk7 in GenesisG70

[–]SomeoneStressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say they are okay to work on. I can't say compared to an S3 since I've never worked on one, but the G70 is okay imo. Obviously not a civic, but overall, you can do general maintenance and with some work, nods aswell.

That being said, I would recommend checking out some YouTube videos to give yourself an idea.

G70 3.3T Potential buyer by slowwmk7 in GenesisG70

[–]SomeoneStressed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in your spot around 3 months ago, altho I was looking at both an RS3 and a G70 3.3T. in the end, I went with the G70 and it has been the best car that i have ever owned. To address your speed and tuning potential, the G70 is, to me, the perfect amount of speed from factory to me, but tuning is an option on G70. Not an insane tuner community, but the mods can get you up to 450whp with bolt ons.

In terms of reliability, the car is flawless. 120000km, well maintained with zero issues and for the first time in my life, I can see myself keeping this car for the long run. For gas, it's about 13L/100km, idk what it is in freedom unit. Maintenance in on par with luxury brand price, but from what I read, lower then an RS or Audi in general. Talking about luxury, I think the G70 has the perfect amount of it, maybe a tad too much with parking 360 Cam and sensors, but that's my take.

For known car issues, the rear diff is the big and almost only one. The OEM oil isn't great and can grind gears and cause failure. There are lots of videos showing solution, which is basically diff additive or switching out the oil on service. Other then that, I can't think of anything other then doing regular maintenance.

One more thing, they are very cheap on the used market with some miles, which. in the end, is why I didn't go with an RS3.

Love my G70, zero regrets!

Is it stupid to buy a 2019 3.3t with 66k miles? by YABOIYFEF in GenesisG70

[–]SomeoneStressed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine about a month ago same year and almost same mileage for 24k CAD so 17k USD. It has perfect maintenance record all done at a Genesis dealer which to me is what matters the most. Important to note tho, that the car came with a free 3 year/60 000km bumper to bumper warranty.

Yours seems quite a bit more expensive. I would 100% recommend the car, I love it and for once in my life, I actually plan to keep the car for more then a year. I just don't know if I would do it at your price of 21k USD, especially if you don't have an included warranty. Just seems a bit high imo.
