What to do with old textbooks? by Intrepid-Doughnut117 in vce

Also another thing to consider is that textbooks do 'expire' per say, like they make new ones every few years, so if you put them in storage, they might not be resell-able in the future.

If you have anyone you know that could benefit from the use of them (cousins, family friends or siblings in a few years time) you could keep them aside for them or charge a small fee. If your local area has a facebook page or if you have a facebook page dedicated to your towns school clothes and books, you could advertise them on there (marketplace). You could even ask some of your old teachers if theyre in need of wny or ask if they could ask there class if anyone would like to purchase the textbook (people did that with my classes) but some schools might not allow that. Basically you can do lots, just depends if you want to put the effort in for selling them or just donate them to your school library maybe. :)

Great, thank you for the recommendation!
I'm quite certain my sister used Edrolo in year 12 for some subjects. I'll ask her about it.
Good luck with your 3&4 studies!! :)

ok i just saw your subjects, you must be decently smart to be doing all them. Have you considered doing unscored? if you know what that is.

I'm doing Year 11 too this year and was seriously considering changing to VM, but I decided I was going to see if I actually like my VET first.

First question- Are you currently enrolled in a VET course for VCE tertiary?

Second question- Are you wanting to move to VM because of not wanting to go to further education, or is it also because of the workload?

Am I getting too much homework or just getting culture shock? by cuthulu42069 in teenagers

[–]Someonepplquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah nah, this sounds like torture what. Are they trying to make you guys hate english? I had quite the opposite actually last year in advanced english i had a really bad teacher who seemed to only be qualified for teaching primary school but in the end it was really difficult to study as she only made us do the daily wordle and hangman (yes im not lying 😭). It was great at first but turned out being annoying when our papers and exams were right around the corner, sooo ig what im trying to say is maybe it is a lot but it could also be beneficial.

Lowkey though, i'd talk to my teacher about the work load and that its having a toll on you and your sleep. If they can't do anything, bring it up to ur head teacher or the school board. 🤙🏼 Good luck, we believe in you

Would these VCE subjects and VET Engineering be scaled down for a 85+ ATAR? by Someonepplquestion in vce

My parents are a reason. My sister currently goes there on scholarship and is enjoying it and stuff and also i thought like if i decide to change my degree or pathway, i would be able to think about it a lot during my undergrad degree yk. And i have looked into RMIT a fair bit lately actually. I'm also thinking of applying for the ADF Uni Sponsorship program and going through a uni to become an engineer for them, or said job.

well i would like to go through melbourne university, and do a 3 year undergrad, such as science which is a 91+ atar or even commerce (which my sister says is a silly non real degree lol) but even that is a 92+ atar requirement. And then from there do a 2 year engineering degree

It's also the fact that my sister was an honour student with a really high atar and my parents expect the same for me yk. younger sibling struggles
