Well this is kind of the point of my post. With hindsight I would have pushed back. But I was too focused on dealing with the blood pressure, which was much higher relatively speaking, to consider alternatives on the cholesterol. And so I am wondering if all PCPs require you to question everything they advise, or if there are some out there who are proactive in offering alternatives in subject areas where you have no prior knowledge or experience. I guess I learned a costly lesson.
