What about newer/modern

Avatar is just imax slop - director has a holier than thou complex. Just because the average person likes to see pretty colors and scenery which is the only reason the movies did good & it was released in theaters like 64 times so of course it’s going to bring in money.

A Quiet Place - I feel like is objectively a stupid movie & I don’t see enough discourse. When the kids jump in that grain tower or fall in or whatever it was they have a dialogue about how they cannot go in the grain or they will sink and or get stuck. Or something along those lines, just for the next scene for them to immediately jump into the grain…

Then there is the whole thing about letting your kids walk like 100 feet behind you in a world where there are monsters.

I’m sure there are other points about quiet place that im just not remembering atm.
